I'll respond here in case I don't see you today (before we reach Auckland). Processed and packaged foods, including nuts, are generally OK to bring ashore. HOWEVER, make sure you declare them and have them available to show to the officer.

Hey Aussies and Kiwis, I spoke to Casper (Restaurant Manager) this morning and - subject to no other prior bookings - we can have a morning tea at 10.0am on 26 January to celebrate Australia Day. He was impressed that we had brought our own biscuits and lollies. I gave him a Anzac biscuit recipe (and some Golden Syrup) and he will be very happy to have a batch made up for us. AND, he was already familiar with Lamingtons, has a recipe, and will have a batrch made up for us. He understood what I meant when I asked him to soak the squares in the chocolate sauce for a little longer 😆 Subject to approval from higher authorities, he will put a notice re the morning tea in the Viking Daily. I will put this notice in the original CC rollcall too.

Lamingtons - oh, we should be so lucky. Exactly how do you think we should describe lamingtons to someone who has never experienced them????? It's worth a try though - effort/reward.

Hey Aussies (and Kiwis), What should we do to celebrate Australia Day? I packed a skippy and a decent sized Aussie flag, as well as Jaffas and TimTams. Marina is bringing Iced VoVos and Fantales. Can you think of anything else to bring? I brought my Anzac biscuit recipe, along with some Golden Syrup. I'm hoping that if we ask nicely, the bakery staff might produce a batch for us.
