Thanks for your reply SeaCbear. We don't have an excursion booked and the ship is sold out for all but water activities for Tauranga. I was hoping to hire a taxi at the end of the pier and have them take us around. We have had luck in the past hiring a taxi for tours but I didn’t know if this was feasible there.

Has anyone been into the port of Taraunga? Just wondering if taxis are readily available at the end of the pier?
