  1. Hi,

Yes, I'm still waiting with anticipation also. I am beginning to think it may not happen as Drew can't have much of his contract left now. From what he told me, he was already 7 months into a 71/2months contract so if this is the case, I am sure he will be super busy tying up all the loose ends before going home.

Fingers crossed it will be arriving in our in-boxes soon.

  2. There is a shuttle bus from the ship to the terminal building (and back). This is free but RCI may omit to tell you about it because they have a shuttle bus from the ship to the city centre which they charge for. If things are the same as when we went there in September, the port shuttle is parked beyond the RCI shuttle, so many people don't even realise it exists. There was no mention of it in our Cruise Compass and we discovered it by chance when we got off the ship only because we wanted to go to the beach and asked someone how to walk there. They pointed us in the direction of the port shuttle.

Bear in mind that the port shuttle only takes you to the terminal building; I don't know how close the hoho stop is from there.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers.

    Fiona.

    Fiona,

Can you remember how much RCI were charging for the shuttle. I realise you didn't actually go into the city centre, but it is usually printed in the daily newspaper. Its usually around the $10 mark but of course could have increased since last year. Thanks

  3. For those of you who have already been to Valencia on an RCCL cruise, could you please tell me if there is any shuttle service available. I'd like to take the HOHO bus and it looks like it's a bit of a hike from the terminal to the stop (Puerto). I'm asking on this board and not the port board because I want to know what RCCL in particular provides or doesn't provide. Thanks!

    Hello,

Good info from Fiona and not surprising info hidden by RC!! The HOHO bus at most ports is nearly always waiting outside (or very near to) the port gates. In Valencia, the HOHO cost is 12 euros and there are 2 routes to choose from which of course can be interchanged. I too will be visiting this port this year and was looking at various ways of getting into the city. A friend has already been to Valencia and used the ship's shuttle service but can't remember how much it was, but did say it took approx 30-35 mins to get there. Google shows it to be 4.7 km but of course Valencia does get very busy and some days will be more congested than others. I think the shuttle bus should be free, given that the city centre is quite some distance from the port, but I know from experience it won't be!!!
