  1. I saw that too! If I hadn’t had been so trigger happy with clicking on “book” for both cruises that I have set up, I would def be interested in that one
  2. I have had serenade booked for a super long time already and then when Utopia came out with their itinerary I sporadically booked it as a saw I the dates align. I don’t mind eating one deposit but I’d like to steer clear of losing the both of them, if that makes sense! Utopia looks like it has so many things on it we could easily spend a week on it exploring I think!
  3. I didn’t even think about that! That does sound like it could be extremely stressful!! I don’t want that either!!
  4. Ok, picture it is your 20th wedding anniversary week celebration vacation. Would you rather… 1) Fly into Orlando and go over to Tampa for a 5 night sailing on Serenade to Mexico (with a corner aft JS 😍) followed by debarking and driving over to port Canaveral to embark on Utopia (ocean balcony room) on the same day for 3 nights weekend sailing OR 2) fly into Orlando and do a B2B (7 night total) on Utopia in an ocean balcony.. itinerary is Nassau and perfect day both times thanks for thoughts opinions and advice!!
  5. You guys are all the best - thank you so much!! DH and our pockets thank you as well!! You all confirmed my original thoughts about booking this room - I’m so excited and will not Change to js ! Thanks again!! 🙂
  6. Happy Sunday all, we have an upcoming 3 night on Freedom with an aft balcony on the 9th floor booked. This is our first time sailing Royal and originally I booked this balcony (all the way back in January) bc of the extra balcony space. The closer we get, the more afraid I am that the combo of the obstruction of the back of the ship/lack of privacy from above deck/motion from being in the aft, might take away from the weekend. For about $800 more I can book a midship JS (original cost was $1200 for this sailing) Am I over thinking it? DH said to do whatever makes me happy…. But I don’t want to be wasteful of money either. Any advice would be SO appreciated!!!! thanks in advance!!!
  7. That’s what I’m afraid of… the perks of the suite are so enticing though! Ugh!!
  8. I called RCCL but they can’t change it since I booked with a TA… I need to wait until the morning now 🙃😬
  9. @Jimbo I guess I should have posted this question when my travel agent was open.. rookie mistake on my part 😂
  10. @RFerrington we are sailing October 24 for this particular cruise… so it is still very far out for us. I just love putting fun things in my planner!! I hear you about going back and forth… if we end up not being able to get 1100, I will probably deal with some FOMO, but I will get over it… since the room we have is a big aft balcony directly below it. The reasons I am talking myself into it: the size of the bathroom, embarkation ease, coffee maker and finally, double points… I have 4 cruises lined up with RCCL and although we are just getting back into cruising, I would love to make my way up in C&A how much extra is it for you? For us it is an extra $766 for 5 nights
  11. The travel agency I used to book is closed right now 😬 If I can grab it by the morning i will!

  13. I def am 😂 I just need that extra little push!! Thank you for your help!
  14. thanks so much Kellie for the help 😊 we are sailing out of Tampa… heading down to Cozumel. I’m leaning towards the suite just to have a bigger shower area. Also, I don’t know how big of a deal embarkation time is during check in, but if that makes it a lot less time consuming to get on the ship - that can add to its worth too?
  15. Hi all! first time post, so hopefully I am posting in the correct place. my question is to those who have sailed on Serenade and have had JS 1100 or the state room below it: 9256. I currently have balcony 9256 booked for a 5 night sail… for another 700 or so odd dollars I can get the suite above. I have read reviews about the windjammer noises early in the morning being a disturbance. Would you say that staying in the JS is worth it, even with the noises? We are on this cruise during our 20th anniversary and I want to get it right. I also know DH likes when I get a bargain, which I believe I did for the spacious aft balcony (about 1800, taxes and tips included) So I keep going back and forth on if 700 is worth it (or should I put that money towards the drink packages and be happy with the room I booked!) We are also newbies, as we only cruised once when our children were very young… now that they are older we want to try again. Any thoughts would be so appreciated! Thanks!
