Thanks for the feedback everyone. I also joined a few FB groups and learned a bit too. I have been to Bimini and Nassau before. I prefer Bimini more for it's smaller walkable places. Nassau I could live without. Way too crowded and too much going on. But at 9 days, you almost have to get off at every stop to explore a bit. 😊

So I booked a cruise (Carnival Venezia) for next year and it's a 9 day cruise from NY - Miami - Bimini - Freeport - Nassau - Back to NY. I've done two other Carnival cruises but mostly 5 days and out of Florida. I'm curious to know a few things: First port is Miami - There are no "excursions" available in Miami. What does this mean? I've never done a port in the state and I'm not sure if Miami will have much for us - should we just stay on the ship? are there other things we can do nearby? Do they offer any transportation to local areas like they do at islands like Bimini? (I did some quick googling and found maybe outlets we can go to but might be far? Our group is more of a "relax" type of group. The kids are all teens now so they're not interested in aquariums or much crazy excursions and probably prefer the beach, shopping and some sports more than anything.) Any recommendations? I booked for Deck 9 - Aft - because I have 8 people (possibly 2 more families of 3 joining as well) and there was more adjoining rooms available there - Mine is a balcony while other 3 rooms is interior. We are kind of under the new "Burano Pool & Bar". Should I be worried about the noise? How bad is it? I'm a light sleeper but not very picky. Husband is a deep sleeper so he won't care. Not sure about the others.
