Thank you for all the help. After looking at a sample of excursions being offered on the cruise we were looking at, and weighing in cost and what we really found important to see, we have decided not to do this as a cruise and instead do private touring of the three countries we most want to visit

I am actually thinking we may book our own excursions anyways-which makes me wonder if we are crazy to pay for Viking. We are 48/55 years old, bodybuilders and very very active. I have read that Viking excursions are heavily bus tours with minimal walking-this is NOT going to work for us. While we love the idea of the age /maturity/laid back vibe of Viking and the luxury (and money isn't a big issue) , we don't love excursions that aren't active.

We are looking to go to the British isles the end of July 2024 (actually can't leave until after 7/28). Not worried about price too much, just want the best bang for buck. We had planned to book Viking, but does anyone have another suggestion? I'm a new cruiser so I have no preference yet on a line. Have cruised once to Greece on NCL in a haven suite, and getting ready to cruise Italy/France/Spain on an NCL in haven suite

We are booking our first Viking cruise-the Viking Sky 6/29/2024 to British Isles. My husband is a seasoned cruiser and I am not. We are debating DV1, PV1, Junior suite...we arent as worried about needing the extra space of the suite as we are about getting excursions we want. I've read that if you aren't in at least the top 1/3 of room types, you won't be able to get into excursions and dining (dining isn't our worry.) Can someone please help!! I can't imagine spending this kind of money and having to worry up until the time of boarding wether we will be able to actually see the things we want to see! Also, I want to book asap so any quick help would be greatly appreciated!!
