  1. Hey all, We will be in port in early July. I've been looking at tours and struggling to find one that will only take 2 people and/or encompasses all the stops we would like. We're also not a fan of the huge bus tours with dozens of people. I've considered us renting a car. We are cruising on Carnival, which means docking at the Havensight port, right? I have looked at many forums but there never seems to be a clear response- Is there a car rental location at that port? I contacted one company and never received a response back. My other thought was to maybe do the skyride (I really don't want to pay $28/pp, but I'd like us to get to see a lovely view - any other comparable options for a great view?), then walk on to Charlotte Amalie and see Fort Christian, 99 steps, Blackbeard's/Bluebeard's Castle, and then maybe take a taxi to a nearby beach. Do we have enough time to enjoy these things? I think we have 10-5 in port. We also considered the pirate museum, but I see mixed reviews on whether that's worth it or not, so I'm just not sure. I'm really struggling with what to do while we are here for the day! Any advice is greatly appreciated.
  2. I am looking for a tour that will include stops such as Drake's Seat, mountaintop, skyline, magen's bay, fort christian. I'm seeing several of these tours, but they all require you to book 4-6 people at a time. There are only 2 of us. We don't care for there to be others in the tours, although we prefer the smaller size tours. I'm just having trouble finding one that will allow me to book only 2 tickets. I've looked at Viator and Tripadvisor with no luck so far. I will continue searching, but has anyone had any success with a tour with a small group size that hit all the big spots on St. Thomas? We also don't arrive in port until 9 am and I'm seeing most of these tours start right at 9, another problem I'm running into. Thanks in advance for help!
  3. Hey all, We have a cruise booked for June. We did the dreams studio photo shoot on our last cruise, not really realizing how it differed from the regular photos. We loved them, but weren't willing to pay the price. However, for this cruise we have some onboard credit, so we decided to go for the small, classic package. There is a promo code up online when I select the package. When I enter the code, it says no longer valid. We have called and they just tell us it is expired and basically tough luck... however, it's still listed on the website (we called on January 1 and here we are 3 days later and it's still listed). Has anyone had luck with getting Carnival to apply the promo codes that are still showing on the website but aren't going through? We talked with regular customer service and the Fun Shops. They had us send an email with the picture showing the promo still up with no expiration date listed to reviews@carnival.com, but we haven't received any response. Thanks.
  4. We just returned from the Magic after a cruise over Thanksgiving. The entertainment was top notch and we loved the shows and music. My question is - I'm looking at a cruise now over July 4 and trying to decide between an 8 day on the Magic again or a 6 day on the Horizon. I'm leaning toward the Magic, but will all the entertainment we exactly the same? We really enjoy music, so we hit several small shows and the big shows too. How would you lean between the two ships? Thanks.
