  1. Wish I could edit my main post, but an updated Menu with only the list of ingredients. [Screenshot of the first few listed for those who only want to view] Cruise Drinks.pdf
  2. I do get that a lot! I tend to prepare like crazy, and me and my friends can be very shy when asking for stuff. I had a pretty rough experience when it came to this so i think i just habitually planned to the last detail. I'll keep that noted about the slush bar though! I also heard people have asked about mud slides, do you think that's only available at the pool/mast bar?
  3. As you see from my last thread, I decided to compile all the suggestions and any drinks that stood out to me. I will only be getting the zero package, so I'm trying to create a mostly non-alcoholic menu. Has anyone been able to make smoothies outside of the spa cafe? Since to my experience they only make specific smoothies. Anyone ever gotten a Milkshake made before? This is what I have so far. As you can see I'm a big fan of fruit drinks and ice-cream drinks. Do you also think I should just leave the ingredients needed, and delete the specific measurements? I never asked for a drink made before, and I'm not particularly picky about everything being concise either. I want to curate a simple, Easy to read, popular menu for me and my friends. I would also like to make it easy on the bartender with popular drinks that they would already know how to make or know how to make a substitute of. I have linked my baby menu here, in case you would like to have a look or have your own idea. Thank you! Cruise Drinks.pdf
  4. Getting the zero package but want to try this!!
  5. Oh my gosh!! Now this just looks divine! I think i have a sailing for one of them on 2024! I'm currently writing everyone's suggestions down and ingredients on a notepad so I can bring it with me on the ship, lol! I'll have my own personalized menu then! Gosh, I would love that coco berry rita and El blanco! The mint cookie one just makes me hungry! I agree, some of the ingredient combinations that I read did not appeal to me at all... The drink was either very bitter, too sweet & syrupy, or alcohol overwhelming the flavor(Though might just be my buds not used to drinking). I wonder why they don't improve their drink menu, I think it would be very helpful for newcomers such as I who are trying to learn everything and not miss out. Yes, Next time I'm going to try to visit all of the different bars! I haven't been able to squeeze myself in the bar pool, it was always so very busy. I'm going to try next time on the ascent, but maybe that will be very crowded too since it is the new ship. Many thanks!
  6. It was the bar at the pool, it was very busy all the time actually(On almost all the days!) Though It being an apex ship and people coming back to cruising, I understand. It was very new, and I still have an amazing experience. I believe the bar somewhere in the top floor in the back, behind a buffet or something was a little less busy? Yea, I feel like I should have said something, I usually just ignore it when I'm alone but I really hate when people I'm with have to experience something that might be discomforting. I think next time I'm just going to go to the desk right away on the first day about being overlooked on accident. Not as a staff problem thing, but that perhaps I'm someone that just needs a little more assistance. It happens to me frequently day to day, I believe it might have something to do with my short stature and maybe looking very meek? For some reason, I tend to be easy prey for people to do what they want, I had passengers straight up throw away my drink and take my table at the buffet. Being ignored, cut, etc. I am very happy to say that the staff in general is very lovely, and the ones that were so kind to me really make up for any mistreatment or being ignored. Most of my painful experience was just other passengers and older folk. I was in my early twenties during this, and heading to my mid twenties on my next sailing! As a new cruiser and vacationer, I LOVE comprehensive menus. It helps me be more decisive about what I want. I have issues with memory(health problems) so trying to remember every ingredient to make the drink I want is a bit taxing. If I have to tell them how to make it, I prefer to say a popular drink or one with very simple ingredients. A menu in general just feels so helpful for those with and without cognitive problems.
  7. Hmm I see, I suppose I don’t need the non zero package either since I do vividly remember the spa cafe worker saying they can only follow the menu and can’t change or substitute ingredients. Juice was nice but I only got it twice, classic package it is! I hope to ask for a pina colada again on the ascent this time and try everyone’s suggestions. Can’t wait and it’s making me quite excited again! Actually, specifically about the service is that we were being ignored, a waiter would go around every table around ours and take their drinks, even those seated after us. It was no problem since I asked someone else to to take our order, but it was a little awkward to experience since I had company. I just don’t like raising my voice a bit (I am a pretty quiet speaker) or asking for attention, lol. It had nothing to do with the drink ordering, that part was fine itself. Since sail away is quite busy, I suppose I’ll try to order some of the more fancier drinks the next day or when it possibly quiets down. I agree with your notion about inexperience drinkers which is another reason why I am asking on suggestions on everyone’s favorite drinks. I hate making people wait behind me or causing a line.
  8. Thank you, this is the most helpful response. I most definitely was probably asking in the wrong place. Are you familiar what bars have blenders in your experience?
  9. It’s my first time so it makes it easier to know what I’m looking for, I don’t drink a lot to begin with so I have very little experience. I was unsure what to ask for and would like a good baseline the next time I sail. I did sail right after the pandemic, so maybe they also had food shortages or something. On the first day I inquired about a frozen fruit cocktail but a server said they don’t have it/can’t make it. Now that I’m reading more, it could be my fault for being more vague about what kind of drink I wanted so I’m looking for some name suggestions/drinks to ask for. Do they really mix anything you ask? I think I’ll try to look up some fruit combinations then, many thanks. Might upgrade my package too.
  10. Actually, I believe me and my friend have asked for more frozen drinks and cocktails and being told they don’t have it or they can’t make it, So I only got the sparkling mint lemonade. I just never brought it up again, but I shall on my next sailing. I never questioned it since I saw other people on board with similar drinks or nothing fruity.
  11. That sounds delicious! I haven’t seen any of these on the menu, I will try to ask for it. Am I able to get the mock tails on the zero package? I faintly remember my server only telling me one type of mock tail was available, so maybe I need to go to the bar myself.
  12. On my last ship on the apex in Dec, 2022. I noticed an extremely small selection of drinks available. I have to say it was quite disappointing, as I was expecting some more frozen drinks or the like, preferably without any alcohol. Another unrelated reason was that the bar was overcapacity and I had to flag down waiters or stare at them intensely. I mostly got coffee at Al’s and evians on my premium, with some alcohol at night or during shows. Now I’m not going to ramble about how some service was questionable, but I just want to know if anyone else knows if this is normal? When I went to the spa cafe, I was looking forward to some smoothies but I really didn’t want to have some ingredients included, or I really just wanted one or 3 mixed flavored such as mangoes, strawberries or bananas. The juice selection was quite underwhelming too. Am I missing some shop or part of the ship that offers more variety, or select buffet timings? Are there any othe cruise lines that can offer frozen fruit drinks? Mango lassies, milkshakes? Or do you guys have any suggestions or anything I should ask or look out for. And I love fruity cocktails, but I really didn’t see anything appealing to me on the menu except trying this extremely sweet syrupy mock tail. My next sailing on the ascent is arriving soon, so I think I might just get the zero proof for some variety. Any suggestions, favorite drinks? I might have a go again if I have a better idea what to look for.
  13. Thanks for the site, this makes it so much easier to look at timelines. Here's hoping I get lucky in the future and can match an itinerary between cruise lines. Oh wow, with the above explanation that does make more sense. I was also told they need to avoid typhoon season as well. Yes, I don't necessarily need it to be a USA port since i can also fly back from canada at a reasonable time, since I really don't want to be on a 22 HR flight, if you know what I mean. I suppose I'll just have to wait in the future for more japan itineraries to open up. Was hoping to mix & match boats at least. I suppose I'll just have to keep an eye out for HAL and Celebrity, those are the only lines I can find at the moment that actually travel between to and from the destination.
  14. Looks so much fun! I would love to do stuff like this, i just get stressed arriving at the destination if it's not by cruise! lol! I wonder why they never return to usa port in a timely manner, I feel like it would be a lucrative venture for those who don't want to fly and just want to go to these destinations without having to get long flights.
  15. Oh, that's quite unfortunate. I was hoping to stay in japan for a few while coming back on ship. If it'll take months I suppose I do have to fly back.
  16. Hi, been meaning to find a b2b Japan cruise because flying gives me terrible anxiety. I usually only find one way trips to japan though, how does the ship come back? Open to any lines as well, but i'm seeing the same for HAL and Princess or cruises already in japan. Many thanks.
  17. I found some text in the captain clubs term and conditions. Wifi discount should actually be combinable with pre-cruise.
  18. I wanted to call in case since some people were able to successfully do it like in this thread. I know the drink package explicitly says it on the planner but the internet package has no fine rules or says anything about combining offers.
  19. Hi again, I was wondering if you can book your own add ons through the phone since i want to stack my CC discount with the precruise options. I would like to know if having a travel agent would prove this a hindrance for me? Love
  20. UPDATE Thank you all for reassuring me! I won't lie, I just got off the phone because i am a huge worrywart/stresser. Thankfully the assistant said she made arrangements to update the website with the correct final payment. Somehow I lost my (free)100OBC though(from being on the phone for so long), but I don't even want to engage in conversation anymore, LOL. 💗 Love
  21. Yes..I think I was just very excited to check it right away so i could look at all the packages and stuff and plan the trip right away😣 With that in mind I think it heightened the emotional stress and surprise to see that. I'm trying to calm down and not think about it since it's only been a couple hours, but at least I got the email to back it up! I just worry since it's non-refundable they wouldn't even think about changing it or anything(which would be incredibly bad and cruel business practice, and this is popular and mainstream brand so i shouldn't worry but i couldn't help it!) I also don't have that kind of dough to cough up! Thank you to you both, I feel so much better 🙂
  22. Hi all, I'm extremely stressed out after being on the phone for 3 hours on hold, only to be hung up to hear that offices have been closed. Today at 6:30 pm, I went to book a Veranda using the captain clubs 5%&40% promotional i got for this December ascent cruise. It was going to be an extremely happy birthday and rewarding trip for me and my mother, who i wanted to surprise getting a decent room and get a spa pack for her later. And I triple confirm that the price is right on the website and the lady on the phone(the phone number on the celebrity website) that this is the final pricing. And since it's taking a while for the website to update and change my reservation, i get off the phone and wait for it to update. Thankfully I stayed long enough to check that the email is correct and i received it, any who, 30 minutes later my reservation price DRASTICALLY CHANGES FROM 2K to 4K. THEN SHOT UP TO 6K. It leaves me so stressed out, so i immediately try to get back on the phone but since it's close to night hours they have "1 hour" wait calls. I just sent an email to the general celebrity site, but does anyone have any recent information or have this happened to them? I feel so awful because i was going to be so happy to surprise my mom with a good room and everything but... this is just absurd. It feels like I got scammed. I'm trying not to stress out about it since I'm going to call them tomorrow when they open again but... please, any good words?
