Hello and thanks for this comparison. I was just saying to my husband I have no complaints about this cruise. The food has been excellent and the crew very attentive ( in all areas, not just The Haven) The layout of the Jade, at first, was a bit confusing, but I got up early one morning and walked end to end several times to get my bearings. The decor is sophisticated. It is clean! We really like The Jade and look forward to more sailings on her

I thought we’d wait until after dinner to have cake, but my husband could not wait. Half of the cake is gone and it’s 4 pm. 😉 It is really good. It’s a white cake with a strawberry filling and whipped cream frosting. The cake is light and airy. I’m a baker and I can say with confidence this is a superbly crafted cake. I imagine the rest of cake will be gone before we disembark tomorrow morning 😁

We went to the Old World v New World wine tasting. Fabulous presentation and choice of wines. Lots of fun

Our concierge, Iulilia, and butler, Rogievel, surprised us today with this beautiful Happy Anniversary cake! Wow! It looks so good I can’t wait to try. We will enjoy after dinner (Le Bistro, which Iulilia pulled strings to get us a reservation there tonight) I love cake 🎂 There are beautiful baked treats in the atrium on deck 7, same place as the Starbucks, if you are in need of a sugar fix

On deck 7 is the promenade to walk around the entire ship. it is very windy at the front of the ship. It was like walking through a wind tunnel. Some parts are bit narrow and I stepped aside to let people pass. There were a few walkers who were on a mission and it looked best to just step aside one of the wider sections on the promenade and the back of the ship!

For the Haven, the concierge and butler aren’t included in the daily service charge. There is an ATM in the casino to get cash for their tip (if you forget to bring cash, like we did 🤪). There is a $6.95 fee for the transaction or to get cash to tip other staff who made your cruise extra special. the ATM also will break smaller bills.

It’s day 5. Sea day as we head through the Florida Strait and up the West coast of Florida.

Dinner at La Cucina was amazing. We enjoy this restaurant on the Escape and the Prima. Excellent service and food is delicious. I ended the evening with lemon cheesecake and lemoncello

Todays Daily We are not at GSC because of windy weather. Attached is the Daily we received yesterday evening. And a revised Daily brought to us by our room steward. It is a sea day 🌊

My pleasure. We have had similar travel journey - sandals to cruising. Prima is a beautiful ship, and you will enjoy taking the cruise, just to relax 🧘‍♂️on the Prima. The Jade Casino for those that want to test Lady Luck 🍀

For those of you interested in the cigar room. It is on deck 6, next to Le Bistro and across from Magnum’s champagne and wine bar

bar options on deck 6. I like the layout of this area. There are lots of options to choose your fav drink or try something new. I had an ice wine after dinner and listened to Oleg play the piano. Very lovely.

For your complimentary dining pleasure, you can enjoy the Grand Pacific, Azure, Jasmine Garden and O’Sheehans. Reservations for dinner are recommended, but not required. If you don’t have a reservation then you might have to wait for a table at peak dinner hours. You can make reservations at the Dining reservation desk in the main atrium area. we ate dinner at Jasmine last night and had a reservation at 7:30. Those without a reservation had to wait for a table. I overheard one guy say their wait was 45 minutes. Another option is the Garden cafe and that is buffet style

Good morning. Today is a SEA DAY. Water is too choppy and weather not good to tender to Great Stirrup Cay. I got to the Pulse Fitness Center early because I figured the weather would prevent us from tendering to the island. It’s not as windy and it looks like the bad weather is going to pass over us by mid-day. we don’t mind. We have been to Great Stirrup Cay several times. It is a fun place to hang out all day. We normally rent a cabana for the day. If you have questions about the GSC please ask and I’ll do my best to answer. this is typical winter weather for the Bahamas/South Florida. As we get closer to February the windy weather starts to die down.

The music fest must have been cancelled because all the chairs on the pool deck were stacked up and the stage was empty. We are having very windy weather and tonight might be a bit rough seas. Pools are sloshing around from ships rocking. This is normal January weather off the coast of Florida. Have a good night 😴

We enjoyed dinner at Jasmine, Asian MDR. A glass of ice wine afterwards at the Champagne bar. This is lovely area to sit and have a drink. Oleg was playing Standards on the piano 🎹

The pool deck is deck 12 and there are two pools with a gazebo/stage in between the pools. The pools appear long enough to do lap swimming, but I would guess lap swimming would be early morning or late night. I line the layout of this pool are. There is a bar at the pool deck, and then another bar on deck 13 overlooking the pool area. They serve grilled burgers at one of the bars, too. There is lots of tables set up and plenty of lounge chairs. The tables line the starboard and port side under shade and many tables with umbrellas in front of the bar.
