Hi all, just got back from the cruise. There is no ship provided transport. There are also no taxis readily available at the dock where the ship drops us off. The Destination Manager can schedule and coordinate a local taxi they work with in advance for you so she’ll be ready for you at the dock. You pay here when she picks you up and brings you back in full to ensure you have a ride back in time. It was 5000 xpf round trip. Hope this helps! @Piaa
@jen.claire.389 how did that work? Did you talk to the Destination Manager earlier on the cruise?

@Piaa We got this message back from Europcar regarding the 6th and 16th September.
So if you would like to share a taxi?:
Iaorana we offer you the preferential rate of the FIAT PANDA at 8000xpf per dayOn the other hand, the offer is only available from the europcar agency located in fare. Here is a number of an ALBERT taxi at + 689 87 74 08 77.@flygod did you contact that Albert? I tried WhatsApp but it doesn’t get delivered.

Some tour operators will pick you up from Maro’e.
Windstar provides no solution, although someone on another thread said the Destination Manager arranged a ride for them.
We’re looking for a solution too. Sailing on 9/28.
Le Truck from Maro’e is a PG thing. I wish WS would do that.

I found this:

It requires a license. I’ll get myself a California Boater Card.
Just heard back from Raiatea Location. They do not accept the California Boater Card :(

I'm aware of this place, have rented cars from them, no problems. But ... you asked for a place that doesn't require a lic ... the reason you need a lic is the motor is 30hp. Vendors are only allowed to rent a boat without a lic for up to 15hp ... most places are now using 30hp 😉
You’re right @Tahitianbigkahuna, I did say no license.
But you also said a Boater Card works 🙂. They seem easy enough to get.
I’ve read many of your past posts in preparation for this trip. Really appreciate the insight.- 1

Great! Thanks!

Is there a US equivalent that is accepted in FP?
Would a CA boater card do?

Does anyone rent boats (no license) or Kayaks in Raiatea?
Going on a 7 hour tour sounds scary to me…

Thanks @jen.claire.389!
I got in touch with Enite Taxi but they’re asking for 6000xpf each way(!).
