  1. Our favorite was a wonderful woman (our first and only female waiter:) ) who called herself Zaza because she said her name was too hard for people. We met 3 years ago this month on a Christmas cruise. She was SO wonderful...her husband worked on the ship, too, but we never met him. Her customer service was exemplary. We always dined at her table...never rushed nor too long --just the perfect amount of time for a pleasant evening. She always escorted us to the lift after dinner and thanked us for a lovely evening. She was a very special woman. We hope all her wishes have come true in the passing years and that she has the baby they so wanted.

She made the nicest memories we have of that trip.

Zaza was our asst. server on the Galaxy back in 2004! I can't recall the name of the waiter we had at the time, but he's since been promoted to Butler on the Summit. As a team they couldn't be beat, and we've NEVER had anyone like the two of them again. If I recall she was from Hungary.....and she is BEAUTIFUL!! I still have pictures of both of them!

Now it makes me want to go through all of my old cruise scrapbooks and find out HIS name!

  2. I cruise during hurricane season however I also accept the risks that come along with that. Personally, I think others should do the same.

I know that if I book an Eastern I could end up with a Western. However, if I ever choose to do a Bermuda cruise it will not be during hurricane season as I have no desire to cruise to Eastern Canada (I am from Halifax). If you don't want to take the risks associated with hurricane season, than don't cruise during that time of year.

    Amen!!:)

  3. I'm booked for October on the Grandeur to Bermuda, and have already done an October Canada/New England on Princess. I LOVED the Canada/New England Cruise, and even though I'm looking forward to Bermuda, I'll pack the sweatshirt (public areas get cold anyways, and the outside decks will be cool at night, so I'll use it anyway), and make the best of either cruise!

The best thing to do is as your cruise comes closer, WATCH THE WEATHER!! Five years ago my brother and his wife got on the Grand Princess heading to the Western Caribbean (he LOVES western and stays away from Eastern....go figure!) with a hurricane heading straight for Florida as they left, and he got on that ship still e-mailing me that they WERE heading west. Boy was HE surprised when he woke up heading to San Juan! That's when everyone found out they would be going to St. Thomas, and Princess cays.

At least HE was prepared clothing wise for either situation.....unlike the Bermuda/Canada/New England switches!

    Take Care,

    Jaime
