We visited Devil's island with SB several years ago. At that time, if you had a certificate saying that vaccination was contraindicated, you were exempted. Good luck.

Dear Travel Partner,
While we continue to enjoy welcoming our guests on board for our restart of cruising in Barbados and Greece, we are also looking ahead to more ships returning to service. We have been working with various global government and port officials to develop our plans.
We have made the difficult decision that Seabourn Quest's return to service will now be in May 2022, and as a result must cancel her departures from November 7, 2021 through April 25, 2022.
For your clients' affected bookings on these voyages, we will be sending system-generated notifications within the next 24 hours to provide you with your specific client booking information per voyage. Please note that these notifications are generated by our reservation system and will be emailed to the address associated with your travel agency profile. The booking agent will not receive a separate notification.
We encourage you to reach out to your clients as soon as possible to advise them of the cancellation of their cruise, as we know the news will spread quickly once it is publicly announced. We have heard your feedback and we are waiting until tomorrow (Thursday) at 2:00 PM PT to send our email notification to your clients in order to give you time to contact them.
We are sorry for the disappointment this may cause and appreciate your clients' understanding. All guests will receive a full refund of all monies paid to Seabourn to the original form of purchase. All non-cruise fare purchases through Seabourn such as Flight Ease® air, spa and shore excursions will be cancelled and refunded to the original form of payment.
As a gesture of goodwill for their loyalty to Seabourn, we are offering your clients a discount of 10% off the base cruise fare of a new future voyage (excluding World Cruise voyages or segments thereof, the Grand South Pacific voyage, and any inaugural voyage). Please make their new booking before the end of the year to take advantage of this discount, which will be in addition to any other promotion or incentives available.
For a similar voyage with adventure in mind, we invite your clients to consider one of Seabourn Venture's inaugural season Svalbard Experience voyages sailing between Tromsø, Norway and Longyearbyen (Oslo), Norway that departs between May 4 and July 27, 2022. Located halfway between Norway's North Cape and the North Pole, the islands of Svalbard offer a dramatic setting to explore on our ultra-luxury, purpose-built expedition ship. Exploring in Zodiacs and paddling kayaks, observing from the decks and trekking on the islands themselves, guests will experience and explore this isolated, unspoiled and breathtakingly beautiful place during the endless days of its short, exuberant summer as one of the first guests to sail on board our newest ship. Learn more about the Svalbard Experience cruises and see current fares on our website.
Alternatively, we have some suggestions for wonderful replacement voyages based on their current itinerary. To review these options, please click here.
Their refund will be processed in the next 30 days. If your clients would like to transfer the deposit and any Future Cruise Credits from their current booking to a new booking, please contact us for assistance. The funds and credits will be transferred and they will receive a 10% discount off the published fare of their new booking (with the exclusions listed above). Non-cruise fare purchases will be refunded to the original form of purchase.
Seabourn understands and values the role our travel partners play in our success. Commission paid on 2021 paid-in-full bookings will not be recalled. For bookings not paid in full, standard commission policies apply. All Future Cruise Credits are fully commissionable when your clients rebook.

This cruise is gone from my cruise list in my account on the SB website. It was there yesterday. I'm afraid it's real.

As far as I know, they are still available. They give you a shipboard credit of $300 or $400. Can't remember which. There is no penalty. If you want one give me a shout at wdpmd@yahoo.com and I'll send you one.

There is a small dance floor in the Club. It is pretty marginal for ballroom. It is underutilized so not much competition for space. Music is varied but occasional waltz, club sorts of music, etc.
The dance pros who provide the evening entertainment sometimes run classes but they are very basic.
Some of the deck area is opened up for dancing during particular evenings but it is crowded and definitely not very ballroomy.

WWfT,
The simplest way is Welcome pickups. It can be prebooked and seems to be about the same price as a taxi. We used them a few years back and they were fine - clean, punctual, very helpful drivers.
I've also done it by metro. We had the misfortune to arrive in mid taxi strike and had no other way to get to the port. The metro was fine and easy to use. Unfortunately, there is a significant walk from pireus metro stop to the cruise terminal. The walk was interesting while dragging our baggage.

If nobody else offers I'll get you one. I am already covered for my next trip so if somebody else wants to jump in feel free. If you want one shoot me an email at wdpmd@yahoo.com.

If nobody else has offered you a coupon I'll give you one. Contact me at wdpmd@yahoo.com

Jo,
If this is your first time with Seabourn be sure and ask somebody for a referral coupon. I don't need the credit but if nobody else pops up let me know and I'll get you one.

Hi Ollie,
the way it works is that previous cruisers on Seabourn give you a coupon which gets you a several hundred dollar on board credit. I get the same. It's only available to first timer Seabourn cruisers. If you want a coupon let me know (wdpmd@yahoo.com) and I'll get you one. It's pretty much of a win - win situation with no down side.
Best,
Dave

There is a small dance floor in the Club. There usually isn't much competition for space as it's not heavily used. It's at the end of the ship and ship motion is amplified so it can get pretty challenging unless seas are calm.

AthensWas. Perfect location and a roof top restaurant with great views of the Acropolis from relatively short range. Nice hotel. Excellent breakfast.
-
My experience (n=1) is San Basilio. There is a great hotel (Hilton Molino) directly across the water. Easy walk from the shuttle drop off point to San Basilio.
-
I'd be cautious. Last time I flew out of BCN mid morning the airport was a madhouse and the checkin line ate up the better part of an hour. If you have any delays getting off the ship you may run into rush hour traffic.

Have a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=up8um5ZNhEw. It's from this trip earlier this year. Probably our best trip ever.
-
Rather than a taxi you could take the Aerobus (cheap) from the airport to Placa Catalunya. The bus will drop you right in front of El corte Ingles, a huge dept store with a great grocery department and wine. It would then be an easy taxi ride to the port.
There is also a very well stocked Carrefour about half way down Las Ramblas toward the port but you'll likely need a taxi if you have much luggage.
-
If you stop in Eilat, Israel you are basically in Aqaba and can easily get to Petra. No idea if Seabourn will run an excursion but there are plenty of other tour agencies to choose from.

I've had good luck twice with GenVisa.

Sorry. Doing too many things at once. Klaipeda. The old town is an easy walk from where we docked with SB.
-
It's readily walkable with a nice ambience. Some interesting squares and medieval structures. Good place for wandering around aimlessly.
-
Forgot to mention: There is a large square in the center of the old town. It has an interesting market. To the northeast of the square and up the hill is a large church. It is interesting in its own right and the views back over the town are worth seeing.

Ditto re Turku.
Visby is highly walkable. Great botanical garden. Some old ruins. Good museum. It's an easy place to wander around for a day.

The muster drill is in the main dinning room - at least it has been so far.

Hotel Barcelona Catedral. Clean, quiet, on the edge of the gothic quarter, and a 5 minute walk to Las Ramblas. It is surrounded by non-touristy places to eat.
