  1. Make sense now, LOL... The app is for them to keep track of # of drink since there is a limit of 15, not for us to calculate if we got our moneys worth, šŸ¤£
  2. I was quoting dreaminofcrusin as he directed the comment to me. Then responded back to him with us going over is almost impossible since we only drink 5/day. Either you quoted the wrong person or you telling me something I didnt ask for šŸ™‚
  3. I understand, but we (wife and i) can probably drink 5/person per day, so even if its all on my account i wont hit the 15/day limit šŸ™‚
  4. Non-alcholic drinks dont count towards the 15/day correct? if so why would you need to keep track?
  5. awesome, thanks for the insight! anyone want a drink, i have plenty, lol
  6. If I want to order two drinks, one for me and my wife, but she's not present, can we use our room number? OR will they not allow ordering two drinks at once.
  7. I think I stepped in the right thread, with bunch of drinkers. We have the premier, but we dont drink much. Trying to learn from you guys how to maximize our package and apparently our alcohol tolerance along the way, LOL. There is no way we will hit 30 drink/day, maybe 5/person. Reading how you guys worrying about going over the limit scares me a bit šŸ¤£.
  8. My point is anyone justifying value based on how much profit is made is silly. If one says the package has no value to them because they dont use it, that's fair/reasonable. Why go through the headache to justify packages are a bad value.
  9. Its funny when people start calculating how much a company profits to determine if something is worth the cost. They are a multi billion dollar company for a reason, the moment you booked the cruise, they are already profiting off you. Anything they sell will result in profit, so with your theory, booking any cruise is bad value for you. You are paying for a service, experience and product, if its within your budget do it, over thinking it makes no sense.
  10. Exactly, the great thing about cruising is we have options for different people. Its not a debate on whether having a package is better than not. Math is fairly straight forward, if it fits the fits the bill, add the package. Threads should focus on taking advantage of benefits and how to maximize value (I'm cheap šŸ™‚ ) I surprised i waited this long to do our first cruise, it fairly inexpensive, compared to our other vacations, so this might be our norm šŸ™‚ Cant wait for our February cruise on Discovery!
  11. thanks for the clarification. Iā€™m new to the cruising scene and wont travel till feb, so trying to absorb as much info as possible. We have the premier package so searching for tips to utilize it šŸ™‚
  12. Thanks good to know. The verbiage on those articles make it seem there is a 18% on top of the package.
  13. Did you include the 18% for each drinks? What about if you have the the plus or premier package, do they still charge you the 18%? Everywhere i read, it says this "plus an additional 18% gratuity or service charge." Wonder if this is on top of the cost of the package for each drink? hope that make sense.
  14. That's good to know, one of us were planning to stay with them there, so that works. Our 2 yr old is pretty good in telling us if she poops, plus we know her general BM schedule, so our pool times will be based on that šŸ™‚. We do have 4 months to potty train too, lol.
  15. awe, that sucks. good to know! thanks!! well we have a few months to train her šŸ™‚
  16. Hi everyone, My wife and two kids (2yr and 4yr old) just booked a 5 day Princess cruise on the Discovery to Cabo in February 2024. First time on the forum and first time cruiser. Apologize if these were answered in other threads... 1) We have the Premier package for both adults (Premier comes with 2x each and unlimited casual dining); Will we have to pay additional for the kids at the casual or specialty restaurants? Kids are probably going to eat at the buffet beforehand since they wont eat much if at all, eg. sushi restaurant/steak. 2) Can and should we bring a stroller? Especially tendering to Cabo. 3) How is the weather typically at sea going to Cabo in February? Been trying to research but getting conflicting answers. 4) Places to visit and avoid in Cabo? 5) Any recommended excursions in Cabo (with a 2yr and 4yr old)? 6) On the last day, the itinerary says ship arrive back at the port at 615am, realistically what time does everyone have to be off the ship? Do we have to wake up before 615am to get breakfast? thanks in advance for any insight!
