Hello. We will be going on a cruise starting in Forte de France, Martinique. We are flying into FDF airport from Miami. How much does a taxi from the airport to the cruise terminal (Quai de Tourelle) typically cost on a Saturday afternoon? Also, I see taxis are available at the cruise terminal. How much do they typically charge per hour? I read 50 euros per hour on a blog but not sure if it is outdated. We want to hire a taxi on our last day to take us from cruise port to the les salines beach, wait there for an hour or two, and then take us back to the airport. We have been brushing up on our French and think we can communicate this to the taxi driver. We are trying to gather the info above to determine how much cash on hand to have in Euros. Thank you!

Thank you, Mom2B&Z, for that insight. Will try to book our transfer ahead of time and try to brush up on basic French from junior high. Read on some other posts that we could linger on the ship with our luggage but not entirely sure if that’s true if we leave for an excursion.

My main interests are visiting the beach in a leisurely way and also taking in some of the city/island highlights.
