  1. Hello Roger B! What a wealth of information you have! We are two adults in port June 13 at 12 noon and departing at 8 p.m. What is the closest lovely, quieter beach to the cruise ship pier in Palma? We would like opportunity to rent chairs and possibly umbrellas but don't need other amenities. Second question -- instead of beach on our own, I'm considering a 4-hour catamaran sailing from La Lonja Marina Charter at 2:30 p.m. but my husband is very nervous we won't make it back to the ship by the 8 p.m. sailing. Can you provide advice on availability of taxis from port to La Lonja Marina and then if there should be some to take us back? My research shows it should be about 15-minute drive from port to the marina. Thank you!!!
  2. Looks absolutely amazing, doesn't it?
  3. Has anyone done the public ferry to Ste. Margarite, an island about a half mile off the coast of Cannes? The island looks stunning. Just wondering if anyone had done this.
  4. Does anyone have good advice for two, early 60s cruises in excellent health for hassle-free transportation from the pier in Civitavecchia to Vatican City? I found a tour through The Tour Guy I would love to book but that tour does not include pickups or transportation from the pier to the city. We've never been to Rome. Everything I can find on NCL excursions, Viator transfers, etc. either doesn't work regarding timing (we'll either miss the return transfer or it doesn't leave in time in the morning) or is widely expensive for private transportation. Not sure I want to try the train by ourselves our first time to the city. We're on the Norwegian Escape from Barcelona, June 5, 2024. Thanks in advance.
  5. edinburgher -- thank you!! Looks like we can find a beach easily on our own.
  6. We are cruising 10-day Mediterrean from Barcelona in June, with a port itinerary in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy. We've never been to this port, and wondering if anyone has done this cruise, is it possible to walk to a nice beach from the port? We are early 60s, excellent health and capable of walking a few miles. Also wondering about the ease of navigating to the beach (directions/geography not our strength).
