Please could you advise how speciality dining works on the Virtuosa? In particular I want to know if you have to pre-book a dining package or whether you can book on board. Also, are you limited to a certain menu or is it same menu for everyone/ a la Carte? Currently deciding whether it’s worth booking something in advance or not. Thanks!

Does anyone know if the food is going to be better/different in the MDR than the buffet? Any difference other than the buffet having more people/busier?

Hi, my wife and I are booked onto MSC Virtuosa end of June and requested an early meal time, I think the options were 5:30pm or 8:30pm. (Booked through an online agent). I’ve recently seen a review where the person said they had to request a table for 2 and get their meal time changed on board. Does anyone know how this all works? I would like to think we would automatically be seated on a table for 2 as there are 2 of us on the booking? TIA.

Hi, wife and I are sailing on Virtuosa 22nd-29th June from Southampton (our first MSC cruise). After reading reviews and watching YouTube videos, I can see some people complain that the ship is too busy, full with children and more of a ‘booze cruise’. I assume this is mostly during school holidays when most cruises and holidays are at full capacity, but has anyone been at the end of June? Is it likely to be extremely busy? I’m mostly concerned about long queues and space in the pools, but trying to keep an open mind. Have only been on a (much smaller) Thomson cruise previously. Many thanks.
