Thank you both. I really wish they'd correct their deck plans. It clearly says 'privasea' on our cabins and even the cruise consultants said they were..AND just looking at our booking receipts: it says in red that it's an enclosed balcony.
Very confusing and not the best advertising on their part.
be careful when booking. I just realized I've got two balcony rooms and both are the 'privasea' enclosed ones. Terrible. Tried to change but they say the ship is sold out. There is no way i would have booked these rooms and the agent didn't tell me about the way the balcony is. I'm disgusted.
Thanks for letting me know! I had something similar happen to me for checking in when I was going out from Miami. I had gotten there on the later side and thought i had missed the ship as there was only a couple of people at the desks and nobody waiting. Seems that people board on the earlier side. This time I only have to walk about 10 blocks to the ship, so I am able to have a more flexible boarding experience.
Thanks! Another question on the boarding: it sails at 6pm, what activities/pools/shops/etc are open if you board as early as noon. And if not open yet, when do things start opening? We'll have a child with us who will want to be on the race track of the slides.
Hi! I'm heading out on the Joy from NYC on 6/30 for the 7 night cruise to Bermuda. I haven't been on a cruise for around 3 years and wanted to ask a few questions...
Do they still have the key cards that you carry with you all the time? Used to need for the bars/etc.
Are they enforcing the 'no saving chairs' rule at all?
Any idea if you can link individual credit cards per person versus per room?
How was the check-in?
Thanks!
Megan
