  1. We didn't plan to book it. We generally don't pay the extra for things like that or the Haven on NCL. The expense is just beyond our normal budget limits. However, our previous (only other) experience with Celebrity had a lot of issues, so our TA worked with them to get us a free upgrade basically to help entice us back to try them again. Our TA loves Blu and can't recommend it enough to us, but we like variety, so are looking at the other dining rooms as well.
  2. Thanks all. I didn't mention Blu as, from what I had read, it had it's own menu separate from the MDR's and we wanted to try a variety of stuff. Our basic plan was just to look at the menu's each day to decide where we would go.
  3. Agreed. It's a cruise, I'm sure there's lots of food to go around 🙂 And we are in Aqua so we can try Blu this time.
  4. That seems odd. So you were told 'you have to eat Italian all week since we put you in Tuscon'? You can't choose which ones to go to?
  5. It does seem a bit unclear but their website talks about it still. My booking says we are booked for the 'early' at 6pm and when I go to the site, I can't reserve anything as it says I have a set time already.
  6. My guess would be they meant the Golden Palace. I personally don't think it's amazing but many people do. Every year they do a sale on eggrolls and people line up for hours to get them.
  7. Thanks for the reminder! Actually we just changed our cruise so updated my signature accordingly 🙂
  8. Very cool, thanks! May be a bit of a wait since we prefer a private table,
  9. Hi all I'm sure this exists elsewhere but couldn't seem to find a quick answer on it. My wife and I are used to more NCL 'freestyle' dining where you make reservations when/where you want. This is our first real 'set dining' cruise. We have the early time at 6pm on the Edge. How does that work? Can we go to any of the four complimentary restaurants at 6 or is there a rotation or do you choose in advance? Thanks in advance
  10. Thanks all for the responses! We're waiting on pricing to make a decision but good to know the ship itself isn't a deal breaker.
  11. Hi all I've been reviewing older posts about the Edge vs the Beyond but almost all of them focus on the newer or expanded bars on the Beyond vs the Edge. If you don't drink or care about the bars, is there any real differences to care about? We're looking at changing our next Celebrity cruise from an itinerary on the Beyond to one on the Edge and are wondering if the ship should be a factor. Thanks in advance.
  12. Curious, since Disney doesn't do packages like some other lines, do most of you pre-pay your tips or settle at the end of the cruise?
  13. Anyone by chance have pictures of a typical day's breakfast and lunch for one of the MDRs? Thanks in advance!
