  1. I may not have been as clear as I could have been in my original post, but I was referring to sales that the major cruise sale websites/consolidators/TA's run that seem to be tied to a particular occasion. I'm guessing the admins don't want me naming any of them, but I would imagination most can figure out who I mean. Because I am not endorsing or supporting any of them, I can probably post that I am referring to the Crucon's, Cruisecheap, Cruises, etc. websites that send out emails touting their latest "sale" with some frequency that is often associated with a special holiday or occasion. I hope that is okay to clarify.

  2. In hindsight, my thread title is probably ill-informed, as it appears 123 GO was just renamed and added too more than anything. I'm guessing that the offer we received that I mentioned previously was probably a combination of a Celebrity offer and a TA offer.

  3. I am assuming that most of the major cruise consolidators and TA's run holiday "sales", the next being a EASTER sale of some sort. Are the prices at these times legitimate sales or are they like the furniture store who is having the "Best Sale of the Year", for the 4th time this month. Just wondering if it makes sense to wait and see what happens to prices when a booking we are looking at is for a cruise 18 months away, and the next "sale" period is 5 weeks away. Not sure if many frequent cruisers visit this part of the boards, but any opinions would be welcome.

  4. Is my understanding that this promotion expired at the end of February correct? Any word on if it will be coming back or something similar to it? Or is the current "1 of 4" promo offer the same deal? If I remember right, the Future Cruise offerings on board in February were offering 2 of the perks (I Think ??).

  5. We just got off the Summit a couple of weeks ago and received the drink package as a booking perk. It worked out phenomenal for us...coffees, waters, drinks, etc... and are looking at the Canary Islands with celebrity for next fall (2015). I just "read" the fine print and see the drink package perk being offered now is only good on sailings through next March. I have to believe it has been an incredibly successful experiment for Celebrity, although I will add that it appeared to lead to some delayed and decreased service delivery at times, but would assume they will extend it?? It is obviously not going to be a deal breaker for us as to whether we book or not, BUT, it sure would be a nice benefit again. Any guesses as to whether Celebrity will extend the offer?

  6. Add another one interested in Canary Island itinerary and pricing to the list. I see the release to loyalty members was supposed to be this week, but I haven't heard anything yet and when I log in to their website, it doesn't add anything that I can't see without logging in.

  7. Will the rest of Europe 2015 go on line this week? I thought they were supposed to go on lne the week of March 3rd, but it appears that no additional sailings anywhere were put into the system.

I found an interesting cruise on the Anthem for Europe in 2015, but I would like to see the remaining schedules before calling my travel agent.

I'm in the same boat. Considering a Canaries itinerary but want to see what they are going to do with the Adventurer now that it appears the Anthem has replaced the Independence routes and dates.

  8. Does anyone have a guess as to when Royal will start releasing their Fall 2015 schedules? We are interested in doing the Canary Island itineraries next year, but Norwegian and Celebrity are the only 2 of the non-European lines we are finding so far. I see that the Adventurer and the Independence do that itinerary in Sept/ Oct but can't find anything for those ships beyond this coming fall.

  9. We are disembarking in QC in October '14 from the Norwegian Dawn and planning on renting a car. We plan to stay around QC a couple of days and then travel down to Montreal for a couple before flying home to Minnesota. Was planning on dropping the car at the airport in Montreal, but now kind of wondering if taking the train to Montreal and getting another car there for a couple of days might not be more cost efficient? The drive from QC to Montreal doesn't have the same charm as going NE up the Seaway from QC does anyway. Are there rental cars available at the port in QC or would I have to arrange to get it at the airport?

  10. Off topic just slightly, but have to ask. We are booked with SPB-Tours for the 2 day Active St Petes tour in August and I have had many email exchanges with SPB, but none of them have been from Viktoria. I always receive contact from a guy named Anthony. When everyone says how wonderful Viktoria has been, have you actually gotten emails from VIKTORIA or are you referring to Viktoria as the company. I feel like the only person in the world who has booked with SPB who has never actually gotten an email from THE Viktoria.:D
