  1.

To this day I truly believe that my mom was communicating to all of us which casket to pick...and it wasn't the expensive one! :) And of course, she got her wish. None of us would ever go against what mom said! LOL

    CG

I truly believe that she was too! :) It just takes being in tune to understand the signs.

  2. So I was sitting here enjoying this thread and wondering if I should post one of the many stories about my deceased sister and the time she "visited" me after her death.

I do believe in angels/ghosts/spirit guides and my userid is homage to that. 444cruiser - 444 is the number my angels(?) have used for years to give me message. Look for yourself and you will see it everywhere - licenses plates, time, etc. When you see it, "listen" to your inner voice to see if there is meaning there. Anyway...

So I was reading the posts (thinking of my sister)and happen to look up at the posters name and it was AUNTIE BARB - the name my son called my sister.

OMG I got chills! Our loved ones are with us always!

I am glad my User ID helped serve your memories of her. :)

We have numbers in our immediate family and often marvel at how/when they appear.

Tell us about one of your visits.

  3. Please don't think I am a wet blanket but don't you think we should all say a small prayer for this disturbed woman that she might find peace at last. Just imagine what her family would feel if they knew she was still not resting and wandering around looking for something/someone. If it was some relative/friend I would be deeply saddened.

I feel quite certain her family would expect unrest, considering they feel her husband was responsible, despite it being ruled an accident. Perhaps she won't rest until justice is served.

  4. The link I posted is from the actual story of when the girl went missing. Not a joke. If you can't open it, try going to google and googling "woman missing on NCL Dawn" you should find a link with the story and her picture.

After posting this, it is amazing how many other stories come up. If you watch all the ghost hunter shows , etc, they always say that moving water is a big conductor for spiritual activity....where else better then on a cruise

I passed up your story as mere Halloween fun, considering your staterooms did not involve the cabin (or deck) she actually stayed in. So you still stick by your story even though that meant she chose to upgrade?

If that's the case, we are only a couple balconies away from 10626/10628 for the Dawn's repo. I guess we'll be sleeping with the balcony door closed. :D

We shall report back on our findings. Since ghosts tend to relive their tragedies, perhaps we'll get a chance to see what really happened.

  5. Listen I was just saying I did'nt care for my cruise with NCL. I had a better time with Carnival. I was'nt the only one on the ship that felt that way......Maybe if I was a person that went to bed by 7 p.m. I would of liked it.......The Captain knew what the weather was like he should of took us to Nassau instead of waiting to we arrived to GSC.. and cancel it.

Then cruise Carnival. Nobody is stopping you. Why are you here in the NCL forums?

NCL is still filling ships and has big returns from Latitudes members. They obviously are doing something right with a large percentage of people. NCL hardly entices anyone to retire at 7PM either. Oh, that's a laugh!

Here's something for you to ponder. Do you really think the Captain can just up and say we'll go here or there on a whim instead? They have to get permission. NCL has to absorb extra port fees in place of GSC. The port has to have room and accept them. Also storms around GSC can blow in quickly with little warning. There isn't always ample warning. So whine if you have to, but know that NCL doesn't go around purposely messing with itineraries.

  6. Okay I am almost sold on this! What happens if I am so scared or get scared that I let go of the bar that you hold onto? Are you still going to be held in position or am I going to be dangling?

Clothes....good point. January. What is suggested clothing?

I don't know that I trust myself with my digital camera up there so I would probably get a disposable!

I have a friend who is saying that I am going to wet my pants and everyone on the boat will see me do so! LOL And they will be laughing at me! :D

What are the CONS to all of this?

    Thanks for everyone's input!

The only CONS are that you're making yourself nervous for nothing, unless you are afraid of heights. If so, I would ask why are you going? :D

There's nothing to hold onto. You can put your arms out to the side and you'll still be parasailing.

    Take a look:

  7. Oh we are so in agreement on this one!! I'm amazed at how many people will walk out of a bathroom stall and out the door. Ever hear of Mono? Hepatitis? Norovirus? Pink Eye? A public restroom door handle - one more surface that should never be touched with bare skin!!

One reason it irks me when paper towel dispensers have been removed!

  8. All points considered, it seems vertical may be the best option! LOL!

    > Beware of curious neighbors

    > Nighttime is in your favor

    > Hanging over the railing will be recorded. Let's hope it doesn't appear on the ship's closed circuit TV

    > Find out if the deck furniture is ever sanitized

    > Most of all, enjoy your romantic get-a-way and becoming a member of the "Balcony Club" !!!! ;)

  9. Is Capt. Hammerin still aboard the SPIRIT. We liked him a lot and were concerned about his standing after the SPIRIT ran into the pier when we returned back to New York City on May 26, 2008.

We loved the ship, staff & crew so much we've rebooked for 2009!

    Debjo

I certainly hope that situation didn't affect his position. Granted it wasn't a good situation, but I thought I had heard the currents were particularly strong that morning.
