We were in Istanbul August 14-15 on Quest. There was no shuttle service provided to anywhere. We took the tram with a guide.
Hope this helps.

The answer is "Yes". 6 months according to Azamara.
Others may argue that "some countries won't require that", but the bottom line is most airlines do. $0.02

I'm not sure how you are securing Tattoo tickets, but if you buy direct they are non-refundable unless the event sells out and they can be resold. I ran in to that in 2019.
Hope this helps

We cancelled our July 27 cruise to the British Isles on March 20. 102 days later on June 30 we received the full refund of our deposit, which was the only payments we had made. Not sure what date Princess cancelled the cruise.

What was your previous promotion? 3 For Free with $200 off Air? The new promo doesn’t have the OBC that 3 For Free did.

Who did you book the air with- Princess or Alaska? Call them.

Excuse my ignorance (and I have read a lot to try and find this answer) but is the free specialty dining ONE dinner only or is it an all cruise thing you can use any/every night if you wanted? Reading some posts I get the impression it is one meal only and in a venue princess has selected for you?
In case you didn’t notice, this was last month.

Thanks for this timely info. We have EZ air booked at $1307 for 2 people. If I do a flight search under Plan a Cruise ( our cruise ), the price is showing $782 for 2 people. When I follow the above steps in our actual booking, the price only drops by $5.
I will keep checking, but find it strange our actual booking is not showing price drop.
Are you looking at the same exact flights to see the $782 price?

If you look at the Glasgow stop in August it is not a true overnight. The ship leaves at 2am so the next day is actually at sea. The reason for the delayed departure is because people got to Edinburgh for the Military Tattoo from Glasgow. The Edinburgh stop departs at 6 pm- too early to see the Tattoo.
Hope this helps-

DW & I have used non cruise line excursions and they were fine and had a guarantee to get you to the next port if you missed the ship. DW is not very adventurous either and on each of the non cruise line excursions, she kept looking at her watch and worrying about the van breaking down or something else so that she never relaxed and enjoyed the excursions. Now, we only book Princess excursions because the guarantee that the ship will wait for the Princess excursions lets DW relax and enjoy herself on the excursions.
The way I see it, the extra money Princess charges is for us to enjoy a comfort level on the excursions. If you think you would worry, then Princess is the way to go. If you think you can enjoy yourself on a less costly non Princess excursion then by all means go for that option. The difference in cost between the two types is what we are paying for DW's peace of mind.
I hope this helps.
P.S. Happy Anniversary!
Great answer, Daniel!

I purposely booked a flight in January DEN-IAD-MUC to avoid ORD in the winter. Guess what? Major freezing rain and ice storm on the entire Eastern Seaboard and my flight arrangements re-routed me through ORD! Go figure!

My understanding is the are 2 different docking stations in Dublin . One has taxi access and Princess runs a shuttle service that is $8pp each way. The other dock does not allow taxis and therefore Princess provides a free shuttle to downtown and back. No idea of operating schedule. Hopefully someone that has just finished on one of this years early sailings will chime in.

We are booked on the Crown Princess on the Aug 5th cruise of theBritish Isles.
We, a lovely family of 9, age range 16-81, have booked a 8 hour private tour of Orkney from Kirkwall which includes the Standing Stones of Steness, Ness of Brodgar, Ring of Brodgar, Skara Brae, Maeshowe, Scapa Flow, Chruchill Barriers, Italian Chapel and St. Magnus (spelling?) with David Hamilton through Red's Orkney Tours. Because of our size we must have 2 vehicles which leaves us with 3 extra seats. I am hoping 3 lovely people will join us. If 3 do, the cost will be 79 BP, if 2 the cost will be 86BP. Entry fees are included.

You might want to post this on your Roll Call for better exposure.

I am on the Aug. 29th cruise. Got notice from my TA we will be in Greenock 8 am instead of 7 am. Our private excursion starts at 8 am. The tour company said they got no word about the time change. Hope we don't miss our tour.
They may not receive direct notification, but most excursion companies monitor the ship’s progress once under way. If you go to the Princess website the time changes all ready show up- mine have for the August 17 sailing. Good you let them know in advance.

JB listed the frequently recommended Southampton based ones in his post.
Thanks. I didn't know if all of them would give the option. I'll look into it.

1.
Stay in London as long as you can to save the travel time. If you decide to take a car service to Southampton early, you may want to consider swinging by Stonehenge and Salisbury.
lamchops- We are looking for such a car service that would make a stop at Stonehenge on the way to Southampton. Any recommendations?
Thx

Hello. I was reading about the 2 wine packages you can buy, silver or gold. Do you buy this on the ship?[/quote]
Where did you see info about these wine packages? I did not find them on the Princess website.
Thanks!

Hi - I am trying to make sense of this as we dont really have the opportunity in the uk to refare, rebook, switch promotions and so on.
Can you say how much you are paying is it.
$3100?? and you have $985 OBC and Free grats at $324 so $1791? did you keep the drinks or have to lose them.
The current fare here is £2038 (Balcony) around USD2600 there is no OBC and then you have to add gratuities and drinks as required.
...and $985 & $324= $1309...and we did have to give up SNS.😉

Fare is now $3099 pp. From Princess I have $150 pp OBC, $162.50 pp in free grats, $30 pp for ? And $100 as I am a veteran for a total of $784 from Princess. The additional $525 is from my TA.
Hope this helps.

Since you don't fly very often I suspect that you don't have either Global Entry or TSA PreCheck. Those are the only situations where I have seen "Firstmiddle" problems. You should be good to go!
