  1. We booked 12 day B.I. Cruise 2019 back at the Landmark Sale for $3649 pp (Balcony) with $500 OBC each and $100 Veterans OBC. Re-fared to SNS with the same cabin rate. With the 3ferFree we switched our reso to my Big Box which gave us a $525 OBC, Princess is giving us $460 OBC plus free grats at $324... and our cabin rate dropped $550pp! Needless to say we are stoked!

  2. "I’ll go further and state that assuming the ship docks the same way each time, port side is THE SIDE to have in order to face the interesting stuff."

Following up on this thought- did you find the Port side to be 'best' throughout the voyage or did it vary from port to port? I've got a starboard balcony booked- anyone else with previous experience with a starboard balcony care to comment?

    Thx-

  3. Well, you would just refare or rebook if the total savings was over $1000, right? I am hoping for another type sale for my August, 2019, European TA sailing- perfect for me would be a decent decrease in the pp fare and free gratuities!!!!!!!!!!!! Not so much concerned about OBC- would really like the decrease in fare and free gratuities. So book with the $1000 which is decent and hope for something better later - after all we have around 15-16 months to go!!!

    Pooh

I’m with you! I’ll wait for the price reduction and free grats. In the meantime I have $1000 OBC!

  4. We have a 2019 British Isles booked out of Dublin. They have a stranglehold on the number of cabins they are releasing for that port. I had to play games to get the obc with the 3 cabins we had booked.

Cabin 1 - I had to change our cabin up one category to release our cabin, understanding that we might lose our cabin and be stuck with a slightly higher price and less desirable cabin. Before they finalized the details, I saw my old cabin pop up and asked to be put back. It was all a pain, and took an hour and half of my time, but for $1000, worth the effort and risk.

Cabin 2 - Minisuite, they refared with no issue. Took minutes.

Cabin 3- Minisuite, (same category as above), not a clue what went wrong. It took another hour and half to get this one cleared up. Instead of having us book up one, clear the cabin and rebook, they went to a supervisor to add the obc. When it finally came back, they had jerked the price way up. They had to call back, (we use a big box co), and start all over again. It was a mess and would have been easier to take a risk on losing the cabin and booking up one and then moving back.

Long story short, all the cabins are unchanged and all have the obc applied now. I seriously doubt we'll get any further deals applied to that trip given the stranglehold on cabins out of Dublin. Knowing this now, I would not have chosen that sailing, but with a group, it is hard to move plans around.

I'm thrilled in any which case. Now we have gratuities, drinks and a couple of excursions covered, and enough ta refundable to cover hotels precruise! :D:)

The limited number of cabins out of Dublin could be because the cruise hub is Southampton. Although they sell it as various other ports, all cabins are available out of Southampton. We just booked our 25th Wedding Anniversary cruise of the BI for August 2019. Got the $500 pp credit plus $100 as a vet! Thanks to everyone for the heads up on these perks. First time on Princess and looking forward to it!

  5. We were in a Fantastica balcony stateroom in the aft bubble. Our room had a foldable map provided that showed all the decks, common areas, lounges, etc. The elevator in our area did not access the Villa Rossa dining room, but there was adequate signage showing you where to go.

My biggest problem was trying to determine "fore" and "aft"! Often had to look out a window to see which way we were going!😉

  6. I am confused here. the items you mentioned above are free with room service? I mean sandwiches, salads, wraps. Or is there a charge for those too?

I just got off Divina this morning in Miami. Fantastica class cabin. The items I mentioned were on the Room Service Menu in my cabin and had no prices listed. That being said, we never ordered Room Service.

  7. Inquiring minds want to know....What did the MRI say?

I ask because I was in a similar situation and found my pain was coming from a strained Medial Collateral Ligament and not the torn meniscus. Wore a neoprene knee brace to reduce twisting for about a month and all better!

  8. I have twin 3 year olds and a 5 year old . I just double checked the quote in my email. It just says suite and definetly has 5 guests. I'm sure it's the lesser of the two categories because the cruise fade is very affordable. I would show the pic of quote but it's probably against the rules. Maybe there doing it for reasons said above because the age of the little ones. Our agent didn't mention anything of a request form or anything though .

Well there you go! I didn't check for 3 little ones, and as stated about your TA probably checked with MSC and they OK'ed it.

    Have a fun trip!

  9. Suites are available in Aurea and Yacht Club categories and as stated, MSC's website shows the perks of each. But when I try to test book a Suite online, it only allows 4 people per. Also, looking at the floor plan, there is a double bed and double sofa- not sure where you would put the 5th person?

Are you sure they allow 5?
