I will be Platinum on my next cruise but my wife and 17 and 18 year old will still be gold. Will they be able to accompany me for boarding?
-
Yes we did it on the pride. The clues are just telling you who to eliminate. Nothing to actually figure out on your own.

I'll jump on the bandwagon here. We enjoyed our disney cruise very much but I don't think the additional cost is worth the difference.

I can confirm this. I have 68 days currently and on my next 7 day cruise that I booked I am showing as platinum and priority on my documents.

Hi, I'm curious- as a relatively new cruiser, why should one cruise line not be compared to another? Is there not industry standards and general basic expectations in place? I'm asking Sincerely.
Should you expect different levels of cleanliness , friendliness , customer service and quality of food depending on the line?
If so which have low levels of the above. I would like to avoid them.
How are they completely different fruits? Aren't they all apples (cruises) but differ based on Apple type? (Basic/luxury)
What is Royals thing?
What is Carnivals thing?
I would like to frequent a line that has safety, cleanliness, food quality, staff friendliness and overall value for your dollar as their thing.
Which apple would that be?

I don't think there's really one answer to your question - and the only way you are going to know is to try them on your own and make your own decisions.
Customer service means different things to different people. The OP noticed that on Carnival, in general, waiters do not carry your tray for you at the buffet to a table. On other lines we have been on, like Disney, they generally do. Is that important to you? If it is, maybe Carnival isn't the best choice.
As far as safety and cleanliness - I think most lines are pretty consistent on that.
Value for the dollar is again subjective. For us, Carnival provides that. For others, Carnival is the "Walmart" of cruise lines and doesn't provide the level of service that they want on their vacation.
I think that is why there are so many lines with so many different styles. Keep cruising and find the one that works for you!

We did it on the Pride a couple of weeks ago. Many of our tablemates who had done it before (some several times) said it was the same as they had before. It was the first time for us and we really enjoyed it.

Has anyone ever had difficulty eating at the steakhouse whenever they want to? We always go one time and rarely see it even half full. But we dutifully make a reservation anyway.

We just did it on the Pride and we had champagne, as well as one red and one white wine - no pairings. It was held in the disco of all places - but it was nice because it was very quiet - just the 12 of us. We were in the galley earlier for appetizers - but not for the main meal.

On the conquest last week it was no gym shorts or cutoffs or sleeveless shirts. Pretty much anything else. Nice jeans are fine.

We got an email from Carnival that our cruise has staggered Boarding and we were given a boarding "window" of 1230 to 130. Has anyone else seen this? Not really a big deal but curious about it as I have not seen it before.
ANYONE ON THE LEGEND RIGHT NOW OR RECENTLY?ell

We were on the 1/23-1/30 sailing and were told there were 1600 people on board. Did not seem crowded at all - we thought it was great.
