1. Were you able to exit the ship, find a taxi and go?
Yes, but be prepared for a wait depending on when your ship arrives and how many are in port.
2. What was the price per person for the taxi?
Starts at $17 flat fee for up to 4 people one way
3. Once you got to Mr. Sancho's were there any covid restrictions, was the entrance still free?
Mask to enter, entrance was not free and you needed to have a reservation as it's almost sold out every day. Reservations require a deposit up front with the remainder paid upon arrival. Back in April, a cab wouldn't even take you to Mr. Sancho's if you didn't have a reservation because the line to get in was already so long.
4. Has anyone Parasailed at Mr. Sancho's
No
5. Were the wait staff those serving drinks and food wearing mask?
Yes
We were just there on January 24 and March 30 of this year.
1. Yes and taxis were plentiful
2. Depends, we got a better deal if we shared a cab, $5 per person each way. This last time we rode by ourselves and it was around $20 each way.
3. No vivid restrictions, but as someone else replied you need a reservation to get in, and pay balance due at checkin.
4. DW thought about it in January but didn't. Wanted to go in March but it was too windy and not offered.
5. No masks anywhere at the facility, either by guests or staff.

Have cabin 7170 booked on Serenade for January 2023. Shows as partially obstructed view and bigger balcony, but deck plans rarely show what the cabin actually looks like. Anyone ever stay in this cabin that would be willing to share photos?

Do all of the balconies have glass under the railing? I've seen videos where some are solid and some others have glass. Is there a difference based on deck?

Our kids are 18 and after this August's 'last hurrah', it will just be my wife and I. We're interested in the more upscale cruise experience i.e. The Haven, RCCL Suite Club, or The Yacht club on MSC..
We've sailed carnival several times but always in the cheaper rooms.. Is there a Carnival equivalent to the "elite" experiences above?
Thanks!
We always book inside or balcony, so don't have knowledge of what's in a suite. If you're trying to get away from kids, there's Serenity, an adult only area.

It appears that there will not be a big screen TV installed on Lido deck during the current dry dock. Does anyone know where they show movies on board? Are they available on the in-cabin TV? Also, along the lines of the TV, what programming is available?

Portions in Tamarind, at least on NS, K's sister ship, were large enough that if you order all the courses you probably won't need an additional entrée. If you want to sample several main courses, why not ask the waiter/waitress prior to ordering and suggest smaller serving? You may avoid extra charges perhaps.
Thanks.

Yes you should be fine. We got two apps, a main, and a dessert each last week.
In previous years (before they reorganized the menu) you could get even more if you wanted. They’re pretty accommodating. Enjoy!
Thanks.

New to HAL specialty restaurants, and have reservations for Tamarind on embarkation day 1/2/2020. I understand there's an additional cost if you order more than 1 entree, but can you order more than 1 appetizer with no additional cost?

We are booked on our first HAL cruise on the Koningsdam for the 1/2/20 sailing. I see that you can pre-purchase a wine package online before boarding, but would like to know if it's better (and maybe cheaper) to wait until we're actually settled into our cabin after boarding. Any advantages/disadvantages for either?

Thank you all.

According to HAL's FAQ on what to pack, it states that on gala night men "usually" wear sport coats or suits. Does anyone know for certain if suits or sport coats are required for the MDR on gala nights?

We'll be staying at the Hotel of South Beach prior to our Carnival Miracle departure in March 2020. Booked it as a package with air with Expedia.

We are 2 senior ladies and a 10 yr old granddaughter.
Would like a hotel with a shuttle to hotel/port with breakfast and a restaurant for dinner near by.
You might want to check out the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. It's located across the street from the Bayside Marketplace. They have a pre-cruise package that includes the breakfast buffet plus a shuttle to the cruise port.

Anyone have any suggestions on a sunset sail in Curacao? Will be in port until 11 pm in January of 2020 and would be the perfect time to do this.

This is the best and most in-depth review I have ever seen. My wife and I are booked on the 1/2/20 Kdam sailing and really appreciate the photos and commentary.

Glad to help. Hope y'all have fun. Let me know how the cat sail was. We'll be doing Creole almost for certain, our third with them. Thanks very much! That is super helpful. My husband and father-in-law will also be there, so we shouldn't have a problem getting my dad on and off, but it sounds like the catamaran would be better for him once onboard. I appreciate your input very much!Sent from my X10 using Forums mobile app

The creole boat is a v-hull and entry from the water is by a ladder. Getting on the boat from the pier might be a challenge as you have to step off the pier onto the edge of the boat, but Glen and his crew are more than helpful. Problem is greatest at Bird Island where the lobster lunch is served. You have to get off the boat as lunch is served on the shoreline at picnic tables. There's no pier at Bird Island. Drinks flow during lunch and on board while en route to the next snorkeling stop and the back to to cruise port. Hope this helps. For those of you that have done either the Creole excursion or the catamaran excursion from the ship, we are considering doing one of these but my dad is disabled. He can walk a little bit with a cane or walker and he does not swim. Do you think he would be able to easily get on and around either boat? Are drinks available while people are snorkeling so he can sit and enjoy himself? How about seating onboard? Thanks for any insight you can provide!Kind regards,
Steph
As far as the catamaran cruise, haven't done one on Antigua but the biggest challenge again is getting on and off the boat. Once on board, there's plenty of room to moved around, unlike a v-hull. FYI the restrooms on a cat are below deck requiring descending and ascending a rather steep set of steps.

Per their website http://www.creoleAntiguatours.com, chicken, fish, or vegetarian options also available on request. You select when you register for the excursion. My wife and I would love the lobster but our daughter, not so much. Do they have a non seafood meal that someone could get instead of the lobster?Sent from my iPad using Forums

Last I had contact with them was right after Maria hit Dominica. Glen is originally from there and still has family there. Haven't heard if everyone made it through OK. Might want to give them a few extra days in case there are family issues.I have tried to contact them twice to book, but have had no response. Anyone heard from them lately?Sent from my X10 using Forums mobile app

Do you know what the prices are for this trip.
There's a $30 deposit required when you reserve through their website at http://www.creoleAntiguatours.com. Balance due at the end of the excursion if paid in cash is $90.

Monty's is our favorite, just a short walk away from the park on the channel.
