  1. We're canceling. I was on NCL Breakaway last week and didn't enjoy it. Lots of reasons; suffice to say that I'm happy they are offering a refund.
  2. Boarding the ship is now on Sunday but not leaving PC until Monday. NCL is giving an automatic 50% back on this cruise and a 50% on a future cruise. Or you can choose to cancel and get a full refund. They are also offering $300 toward airfare changes. We're sailing on Epic tomorrow (now Sunday) so the information above is official from NCL.
  3. Just received the following text from NCL. Norwegian Cruise Line has an important embarkation update regarding the February 16th sailing of Norwegian Epic. As a result of a delayed arrival into Port Canaveral, Norwegian Epic will now cruise a 5 day Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay itinerary. Check in and embarkation will be held on Sunday, February 17th. Guests may arrive at the Port Canaveral cruise terminal number 10, on Sunday from 9:30 am to 3 pm for check in. We thank you for your understanding of this unexpected change.   5. Just talked to NCL. Nothing official from headquarters on a delay. She said that if there is one we would be auto-called with the info but that it would be late tonight likely before info is released. Woman I was talking to sounded exhausted.
  6. We’re supposed to be on the Epic tomorrow. We don’t have a single word from NCL. Unbelievable.
  7. I just finished NCL Breakaway last Sunday and have an NCL Epic on Saturday. I couldn’t agree more on the nickel and diming. After the upcoming Saturday cruise I won’t sail NCL again. The food in the main dining room was downright bad some nights (the steak was inedible), it was laughable that water and specialty coffee was not included in the UBP, and our cabin steward was not good (a piece of food was on our balconey floor the day we embarked and stayed there until day 9. I could have asked for it to be cleaned but I was curios how long it would remain). We ate two nights in specialty restaurants because it was part of our package and the food was generally good (stay away from the “decadent brownie” in Cagneys. It was so dry that it crumbled to tiny pieces when I cut into it) but I will not pay $2k plus pp for a cruise then have to pay more to get good food. Celebrity is getting us back and we won’t stray again.
