Will we be able to see the prices before the date we can sign up for excursions. I see the descriptions of all the excursions, but I want to compare the pricing vs hiring local guides before sign up day. Will they be published before hand? Unfortunately, I won't be able to sign up on the day and hour I'm assigned because I will be traveling and out of internet range. So I will have to ask my my travel agent to do it for me. The more information I have, the better choices I can make and the easier it will be for her.

Good to know! Thanks.

We are considering a segment of the world cruise next year from Singapore to Mahe (Seychelles) on the Silver Dawn. I would imagine they cater to the world cruise passengers vs the segment. Would that affect our ability to get the excursions we would like to do? That's a long way to go and not get to see and do the things we're interested in.

Is their any news? We canceled our segment from Mombasa to Mumbai, but I'm not sure what was finally decided. Just curious.

We’re doing the TA from BCN to BA Oct. 18. Our excursion booking opens June 23 and actual excursions in MVJ were loaded last week (about six weeks in advance). I asked for a pdf of the excursions through the chat function in MVJ—no problem.
Were the prices included in the pdf you just loaded?

KBs - We have made our own arrangements many times and "knock on wood" have always been back at the appointed hour! I'm thinking that's the way to go in this instance.

I looked at the excursions. Thank you for that. But the ones that are "included" aren't the ones I'm interested it. So we have to pay for the other ones? This is so confusing!

Thank you both!

Does Viking have a list of excursions at each port once you book? Oceania does that so you can start planning ahead. When can to see the offered excursions on Viking before the booking date?

New to Viking Ocean. What does the Silver Beverage Package include.

We also are on a segment of that cruise. Mombasa to Mumbai. Have not heard from Crystal but I'm anxious to book another cruise (on another line) ASAP! I hope they don't linger much longer as things are filling up. And I want our deposit back too!

The 2025 World Cruise will almost certainly have many itinerary changes due to the continued unrest in the Middle East. It looks like the plan is to stick with the initial schedule through Carnival in Rio. After that…Crystal has presented four options to those booked on the 2025 WC. All options are heavy in Europe, with two options emphasizing Northern Europe and two options emphasizing the Mediterranean. Deadline on return of the surveys is May 5. It looks like results will not be published.
In my opinion all four options are better than the original itinerary. In any case, I give Crystal credit for asking for feedback…something that was not done for those of us on the 2024 World Cruise.
Which ship? We are booked for a segment on the Serenity. Mobassa Kenya to Mumbai India.

Has anyone experienced people noise from the stairs or elevators.

Is there any way we can see what excursions will be offered at each port before we are able to book them? We're doing a segment of a world cruise in 2025 but I want to start exploring all the options.

I am the original poster and looking through the website photos, I definitely see advantages to the Classic floorplan. One thing I didn't notice before was the small slider vs full sliders in the Classic. I also prefer the TV to be opposite the bed. So thank you all. We have a perfect cabin!!

Thank you everyone for your thoughtful responses. We booked a segment of a world cruise in 2025, and Classic was our only option. Very happy to hear the good reports.

Are some still not renovated. If so, are the Classic suites really dated?

When is happy hour?

I have been amused by how my question about dressing for dinner and sport coats morphed into a discussion of wearing baseball caps (loss of hair due to chemo not included). Any more REAL comments on what "normal people" wear in the dining rooms!! 😂

We'll be going on the NYC to Montreal cruise this fall. Do people tend to dress up a bit more for dinner during fall cruises. Do any of the men wear sport coats?

BYOB! And pay a $25 corkage fee to drink the wine at any restaurant, or consume it free in your stateroom. Then, there are 2 opportunities to purchase “2 for 1” drinks during happy hour. My double vodka cranberry costs about $13 during HH.
This is why I love O, we’ll have to see what happens going forward……PS, the included wines on offer within the package are not the “premium” wines their marketing folks rave about. JMO.
Can you tell me what wine by the glass costs? And there's a 20% service charge?

Not familiar with mega ships, but we're on the Ovation in July. Do we have to make show reservations? How do you know what the shows are? I can't find information on my reservation page. Any info would be helpful.

Should we exchange dollars to euros and/or shekels or do tour guides catering to Americans accept dollars for tips. I understand 5-15% of the price of the tour (per person) is the norm (the higher end for exceptional service). Any comments on that?

Do you need show reservations on the Jade?
Another question about excursion prices
