It will be humid in the Caribbean in November, and all year long. And it's not the volume of the music, it's the cruise staff screaming, "Jump, jump, jump" over and over for hours. It was a big complaint at all the Glow parties we've been on. It's a big party and most everyone goes, at least for a little while.I am not sure in late November it will be that hot. Also, the loudness would not be an issue for us.Sent from my Moto G (4) using Forums mobile app

Honestly, it's too damned hot outside to enjoy them. We go to the Glow party for maybe an hour and that's it. The cruise director is on the mic screaming too much to enjoy it for longer than that. The staff will scream out , "Jump, jump jump" over and over until you want to kill somebody, lol.

I wouldn't even mind paying $40 a game, if they paid out all or most of the money they took in. They don't.

Bingo is a huge money maker for the cruise lines. They take in way, way more than they ever pay out. It's a total scam.

Oasis class ships hands down. There is so much more to do. There's more energy, more fun, and they never feel crowded or too crazy. Great ships.

The Ice Bar on this ship is just okay. The Epic has a bigger and nicer one. Plus, the $20 cover charge is steep if you already have a drink package. I'd do it if you've never been to one before though.

https://www.currentresults.com/Weather/Hawaii/humidity-by-month.phpMy sisters and I are taking our elderly, heat sensitive Mother on the Pride of America cruise in early December. Mom has raised concerns about the heat and humidity causing her problems. She gets overheated easily and becomes weak and nauseous. Our question is two-fold, how hot and humid does it actually feel like during the day and at the popular excursion sites is there ability to gain access to AC at the different sites. I've heard that almost everything is outdoors, because lets face it, we are visiting Hawaii to see the beautiful landscapes. I'd hate for her to have to see Hawaii from the inside of an air conditioned tour bus. I think she would be okay if she could stay mostly in the shade and if there is a breeze blowing. Any thoughts?Sent from my Moto G (4) using Forums mobile app

If I don't get dinners free, I don't pay for them. I'm fine with the main dining room or actually prefer the buffet to save time.I believe I read that dinners under the Latitude must be booked once on board. If you purchased the cruise and also booked 3 specialty dinners, you can book 120 days out.

Does anybody know how we book our free specialty restaurants from being a Platinum Latitudes member? When I try to book online, it asks for a credit card.not yet, we are going through the process of discovering our restaurant choices. we definitely want to make our reservations as soon as we get to the 120 day mark.dave

Will the four of you all agree on something or will you go off and do your own thing?

Cozumel is a lot of fun. There's a lot to do. You can snorkel right off the beach, with no tour or excursion necessary. The locals will tell you you need to take a boat out, but that is not true.
Mr. Sancho's all inclusive beach resort is also fun. They have two pools and great food and drinks all included for $55. Shopping is great there too, if you need anything. We don't shop anymore, so that doesn't matter to us. You can go parasailing, rent jet skis and the food is really good too. If you are more daring, you can take a ferry to the mainland and swim in underground caves, which we enjoyed. The US government has issued travel warnings for Playa del Carmen, so care must be used.
Costa Maya is not a great port, but getting better. There is a new water park a few blocks from the port and a great all-inclusive beach there called Maya Chan, which sells out daily.
Other than that, you can take a shuttle or taxi to the beach for a few dollars.
There is also a tour to Mayan ruins which is very good if you are into that.

I like both Eastern and Western itineraries, but Southern are the best.

Exactly. Learn how to read and comprehend. If the bar staff truly received 100% of that, they'd probably be earning more than the captain.$17.80 per person, per day for every person on the ship with the UBP is A LOT of money.

Where does it say that it supports the stock holders and officers? That's where the money goes.

We love Cagney's and Moderno the best, but are also happy with the regular dining rooms too. We've never done Holland, but like Celebrity a lot. We love the bigger ships too. There's so much to do.

My husband and I will be there. We are traveling with some straight friends that always seem to tag along with us to the LGBT parties. I guess that's because it's usually a fun group. We're in Chattanooga, not too far from SC.

It means the same thing. That money is supposed to go to the bartenders and servers and they are not getting it.Hence why NCL calls it a "service charge" and not "gratuities."Sent from my Moto G (4) using Forums mobile app

The problem is that NCL is keeping the gratuities and giving it to stockholders. The bar staff gets little, if any of the service charge. Ask your bartenders on your next NCL cruise. The same thing is true for the cabin stewards.I also don't understand why people don't "get this". If you don't want to pay the gratuities on a free drink package, don't. Cruise with the other lines where you'll pay $50+/day for the drink package. Personally, I am happy to pay the gratuities on the package to the hard working bar staff. I'm also happy to save the $500+ dollars I'd pay for the drinks and gratuities on another cruise line.Sent from my Moto G (4) using Forums mobile app

I'm with you. I just wanted to clarify if this was for LGBT or anybody on cruise critic. The sunset is at 5:29 pm, so if we leave on time, we'll have 90 minutes until sunset on the ship, which is no problem and will go by quickly if we are all partying and having a few drinks. Let's choose a spot and get this organized. There is also a group of gay travelers from the UK on this cruise, so we could have a nice sized group. The Sunset Bar would be more private and Spice H20 would be more of a party atmosphere. I'm fine with any location. We typically wear beads for the sail away parties, but not necessary.

A meet and greet would be great. There are a few options. I'm not sure what time we sail away, but I think it's before sunset.
The Waterfront on deck 8 is a good choice. They have bars open to the water, Sugarcane Mohito bar and the Sunset Bar.
Deck 16 has Spice H20, which is a huge outdoor area with a bar. Also on this deck is Margaritaville at sea.
Deck 15, the pool deck also has a bar called Waves Pool bar.
Is this an LGBT Meetup, or a cruise critic meet and greet? They should have LGBT meetings every night in one of the clubs too.

It seems a lot of information on transportation around Havana is dated and incorrect.
It appears they have combined the T1 and T2 routes into one route on the Hop on Hop off buses. Some old directions said to take the T1, then transfer over to the T2 to get to Fusterlandia.
If the routes have been combined, will the T1 take us to Fusterlandia without a transfer?
Thanks.

If you are ever in doubt, just go to customer service and ask what kind of OBC you have. It also shows up on the TV as refundable or not, in my experience.

I would call on the phone. That is poor customer service.I noticed that my upcoming cruise had a significant reduction and so I did a ‘just in case’ email to my TA. Very polite I thought but 3 weeks later not even had the courtesy of a reply. I will think twice before booking with them again.Sent from my Moto G (4) using Forums mobile app
