  1. Back at the ship we showered and did the Martini Tasting. You get 4 mini-martini’s for $17 and there were 8 flavors so we tried them all. You get the recipe card and a martini glass charm to keep. We both loved the Sea Blue best and the Blackberry Bramble least.

Thank you for sharing your cruise with us and I'm glad to hear that for the most part you both had a good trip...I've hedar about these "tastings" cruises have and I would love to try one...I hope my upcoming August cruise on Imagination has this or at least the wine tasting...btw those martinis didn't look "mini" :p but for $17 I would've tried all 8 also :D, thank you again

  2. *dips her toes in the RCL waters*

Hi, we are cruising RCL for the first time and I have some questions even after reading this great thread!

I am looking for more details about Coco Cay.

    1. It says on the RCL website that there aren't any restaurants so what do you do about lunch?
    2. What is the beach like? Chairs? hammocks? We have been on three DCL cruises and are used to Castaway Cay which is totally hooked up so I am trying to make a comparison.
    3. I have already paid my gratuities with the cruise and we are interested in My Time Dining, is this something we do once on board? I didn't really see any info on the website.

Thanks in advance for all the help, we are excited about traveling on a new, totally cool looking ship (oh, and also about saving the 2k difference from DCL!)

There are plenty of activities and plenty of space to relax...including hammocks ;). Hope my picture from our Para Sail gives you a good idea of the beach.

As far as My Time Dining, I have yet to experience this but there are other more knowledgeable on this subject within this forum

  3. Whew! I finally read all 27 pages of this thread. It took me most of the morning. What a wealth of information this thread is! I also am an obsessive planner and have gotten so much useful info today.

My husband and I are sailing FOS on 9/6/09. We went on our first cruise on the Sovereign last month. We are really looking forward to the Freedom. I think it will be interesting going from the smallest RCCL ship to the largest (at least for now). What a change that will be. We are also excited about having a balcony. We will be in an E2 stateroom (6314)

Like you our 1st cruise was aboard Majesty(Sovereigns sister) back in '06 and our next will also be on Freedom 4/12/09 with a balc. as well. I am sure that we will make thru without being too overwhelmed :D

  4.

My fiance and I will be going on our honeymoon on 04.05.09, FOS Eastern Caribbean. This will be the first cruise for the both of us, and we are ridiculously excited.

Hey lady we will boarding FOS as you are disembarking so please take good acre of her and please be sure to join the baclony club(if applies) since it will be your Honeymoon

  5. Well, we just booked our FOS cruise for Feb 28, 2010!!! A really long time to wait!! But at least we have a trip to St John's next April to help break up the time. This is going to be the 3rd sailing of the It's 5 o'clock somewhere group. Our last cruise in March we had 26 people and I'm sure we will have just as many, if not more on this one. I was lucky to be able to get a JS on deck 10 aft!!! Our good friends booked the one next to us and my brother and SIL got the D1 on the other side. If the prices drop we might move up to a GS. Had one last cruise and really got spoiled!!

WOW and I am complaining about having to wait until April 12th for my trip!! :D I sure that I find a bunch of great pix between now and then since there are so many of us FOS cruiser that will be sailing by the time I leave

  6. Since it is now 6 days 137 replies and 11,318 views later I guest it was time for me to add my $.02.....I will be on the Majesty in a few weeks and have seen numerous post regarding this "Quest" but nothing negative, mostly I have seen " you have to be there" type of replies.. I did not read all of the post just a few here and there cause I dont want to spoil the suprise for whats in store....

  7. Well, you're gonna get the devil if any of those women you referred to get hold of you. :D

I sure hope they dont get a hold of me either:D I was not calling them out just stating that its not my perffrence but I would never call them tacky for it :o Ladies I love you all with or without the make up:rolleyes:

  8. NO nerves struck I just really dislike people being put down cause thier actions or believes dont agree with others. We all do things that other may not agree with but what place do we have to call them out?? The OP has not spoke up for himself so i figured I'd play devils advocate :p

  9. Wow The P is being called tacky cause he wants to know if he can eat more Lobster if he wants!! This person paid his own fare and if wishes to enjoy his cruise the best way he can who are we to call him tacky?? I dont think that men should wear church sock pulled up to their knees with sneakers(tennis shoes) on or wear socks with sandals, I also cant see why some woman have to put make up on just to sit in the sun and lets not even discuss those that wear 2 piece bathing suits know dog gone well they should be wearing a 1 piece!! But I would never go as far as calling these people out ad "Tacky" They spent their money for their preffrence no one appoint us the Tacky police, let him eat his Lobster!! Hey OP I dont even eat Lobster like that but you can join my table and I will join you and we'll be tacky together!! :p
