  1. I switched sail dates, and also kept my same booking number. Before I made any changes, NCL vacation planner advised me prior to making any changes, to call BofA first to cancel the OBC on the original sail date. I gave them my new sail date and they sent notification to NCL the OBC was being transferred. I then called NCL back verifying I had spoken with BofA regarding my new sail date. This change generated a new amenity invoice for my OBC with the new sail date.

  2. I did not receive a confirmation for a cruise I booked a few months ago. I generally book through with my PVP, but she was out of the office, and I did not want to miss out on a promotion, so I spoke to someone else.

I waited for an hour for the confirmation, I called back and was told they inadvertently changed one letter in my e-mail address and sent it to the wrong address. They disclosed Carnival has several databases, one specifically for e-mail addresses, which cannot be deleted, but they can place a note on file flagging the correct one. It worked. After an hour or so, the confirmation showed up in my inbox, and I haven't had any subsequent problems.

  3. Make sure you are on the page that has your account information.

If you are on the page where you can choose to "Earn Points" or "Redeem Points", click on "Redeem Points".

On the next page, look for the box at the top of the page. It may be covered by a message that says "You Have Been Entered in a Sweepstakes". Click on "Remind me Later" and the box for the promo code will be there.

  4. I have always had a few questions because I have never used it.

    1. Has anyone ever had a problem with Downey staining your clothes?

    2. Do you need to hold it a distance from your clothes to avoid dripping?

    3. When you spray it on your clothes, do you need to hang them in the shower with steam?

    Thanks

  5. I would like to join the group. I sail March 16, and want to loose 30 lbs. I go to the gym 4 -5 days per week, working out with weights, the elliptical and take Zumba 3 times per week. Like others, my downfall is the weekends. I have to stay away from potatoes and sweets. This will be a good support group.

I have a suggestion... It would be nice o have people post some low calorie recipes.

  6. Another AARP newbie question.

    1. Can you use points to purchase gift cards cards?

    2. Is there a link or FAQ's that gives a breakdown of points converted to

    dollars saved?

I took a few quiz's and built up 6500 points today. I clicked the video, but left the room, and did not listen in it's entirety.

    Thanks for your help

  7. When on the AARP home page, you will see a red banner across the top. On that banner, look for Rewards for Good. Click on that and it takes you to the page where everything is explained. Take little quizzes to earn points that can then be put towards a reward with a reduced cost.

For those wishing to purchase a Royal Caribbean gift certificate: Please read the fine print.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks so much. I registered, and will watch out for the gift cards for my March cruise.

  8. I am a newbie to gift cards, not cruising. I have never purchased one, and would like to, but don't know the steps.

Can someone kindly walk me thru the steps. I belong to AARP and went to their website, and do not see any links. I put gift card in the search window and nothing comes up.

    Thanks

  9. Do you have any knowledge if this Galveston Express keeps their schedules precise? I know we took a shuttle last year from Fort Lauderdale to POM and they arrived 15 minutes late and then waited for another party for another 20 minutes. Schedules meant nothing to them, getting more customers in the van did.

I know Galveston Express is fairly new, but can anyone vouch for their on time process?

    Cheers

    Len

This is my first time in Galveston so I can't comment on how on time they are. Before I booked, I went to Trip Adviser, and for the most part, they had good reviews. My biggest concern based on recent posts, is the possible fog and traffic.

Most shuttle companies generally wait for a full load. Maybe as we get closer to sail date, there will be more taking the early shuttle so we can leave on time.
