  1. Gosh, hate to hear this. He was absolutely terrific! He'll be a hard act to follow.

I agree. I meet him when I sailed last year. His name is Herminio (not sure of the spelling).

I am also sad he will not be performing anymore. I was looking forward to seeing him perform on my upcoming cruise. I'm glad I got a pic with him in his Michael Jackson costume.

  2. I never leave home without my Kindle Fire. If you have an Amazon Prime Membership, you can download free movies.

My Kindle has 32 gigs, and always download 6 movies before leaving home. There is no need t have internet access to view the movies at sea. However if you are asking about internet use only, yes it does work

If you have movies or books stored in the cloud, move them to the device while you are online. I do this before leaving home because I do not buy an internet package

  3. I purchased this package in Sept on a Caribbean cruise.

I'm sailing in June to the Mediterranean and was told the price is $82 and only comes with 12 drinks instead of 15.

    Is this correct?

Regardless, I will purchase it again.

  4. I just finished reading all 35 pages before posting.

Talk about conflicting information, I was flipping between CNN and HLN this morning and one of the talking heads said the quarantine period should be 30-31 days instead of 21.:eek:

I cruise at the end of the month and have stocked up on chlorine wipes and Lysol spray for my cabin, and will be washing my hands a little more. I refuse to let this ruin my cruise.

  5. Sorry, I only played once so I'm not sure. They do have a special jackpot that if you get bingo within the first 41 numbers you win $25,000 and if bingo between 41-44 numbers you get $10,000, any bingo after that is just the daily jackpot.

That's the progressive game. As bingo player, it's extremely hard to get a coverall in less than 55 numbers. I'll play a few games. Thanks for the info.

  6. $10 for 1 card (3 bingo boards), $20 for 3 cards (9 boards)

    Thanks Danielle,

Same as Carnival. I love to play bingo. :o

Also, do you know if the jackpot is the same all week, or does it get progressively higher as the week goes along with a grand prize on the final day (free cruise)?

  7. When I spoke with customer service USA, I was told you can book online and pay on board, but when you pay on board, you will have to pay the 15% service charge, and the only way to avoid the charge is to pre-pay prior to the cruise.

I went ahead and booked online, but will check back closer to sail date. If I get the same response, I'll pre-pay. MSC needs to update their website. This is confusing.

  8. I originally booked an 18 day cruise, sailing the Caribbean and Brazil. MSC changed the sail date (we assume because of the America Cup, they never gave a reason other than technical difficulties), dropping 2 ports in Brazil and adding 2 ports in the Caribbean, so I decided to cancel.

MSC offered everyone a $300 OBC and deeply discounted their 7 night Caribbean, cruises in Sept and Oct, so once I grabbed one and applied the credit, the cost of the cruise was only $88. The port charges are $137.05, total cost of my cruise is $225.05 for a solo room. What a steal. :D

Sorry, I did not mean to hijack your thread. I am a Platinum Carnival Member, but taking a break to try other cruise lines.

  9. I have looked at the Dailey's and it only mentions Mega Bingo sales, but the price is not listed. To anyone who has played I have a few questions.

    1. What it the price

    2. Is it a single progressive game (you have to bingo in so many numbers to get the jackpot)?

    3. What is the payout

    Thanks

  10. I always use SAS Transportation. Below is their web address.

They will pick you up from the airport or your hotel. Their driver will call you as he is on his way to your hotel.

On, your return from your cruise, you need to call their number listed below just before you go into the customs building so that I know you are beginning your debarkation from your ship and they will let you know where to meet the van once you do come out of the customs building.

The cost for this is $15 per person each way that is paid to the driver at each drop off.

You may pay with either cash, Visa, or MasterCard.

Credit card payments have a $25 minimum and a $3 processing fee is added per transaction.

They pick up in Miami and will take you to Ft Lauderdale

  12. This is my first sailing with MSC, and I was so excited about sailing on this beautiful ship.

Although I was extremely disappointed with the changes, I decided to pay the $125 penalty for air, but this may be my final cruise with them if they do not get their act together.

Is anyone going to start a new roll call with the new sail date, and update the M&G participants?

  13. Any solo's o the RCI Explorer, 11/01/14 or MSC Divina 05/19/14 (formally 05/24/14).

Looking for someone to hang out with on both cruises. I am already on the roll call for both, but many people are cancelling the Divina because they added more ports in the Caribbean and took away 2 ports in Brazil. I am not too happy with them excluding 2 ports in Brazil, but can't resist trying a new Italian ship. Many people are very unhappy with the change because their cruise was linked with the America's Cup and they pre-booked rooms and now have to take a loss.
