  1. Further to what I said earlier, I have Global Entry and have never seen a GE kiosk at the port of Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Seattle, San Diego or Boston. I don't see them implementing it for cruises, the volume is so low and infrequent that it would not seem to be cost effective. As has been pointed out the "head of the line" thing only applies IF the airport has kiosks AND they are either out of service OR the one you are using has an unrecoverable error while you are using it. You don't get to go the head of the line if there are no kiosks in the airport.
  2. As far as I know there are no cruise ship ports in the US that have Global Entry facilities so its a moot question.
  3. Recipe is three or four posts back :) Sent from my HTC Inspire 4G using Tapatalk
  4. It's not from the cookbook but based on the ship dish. It us easy and everyone in my family likes it. Sent from my HTC Inspire 4G using Tapatalk
  5. I make it at home too, very simple. For 4 people: 1/2 lb Mushrooms (I use Baby Bellas, they are less expensive and still flavorful) 1/2 cup Heavy Cream Puff Pasty Sheet 1/4 Cup Cognac (or for variety Jack Daniels ) 1 tsp Herbs d'Provence Cut the pastry sheets into pieces about 3x4 inches and cook as directed on the package. When done split into upper and lower halves. Saute the mushrooms in a little butter until they are limp and aromatic. Stir in the Herbs d'Provence and the cognac and saute together for about 2 minutes. Add the cream and saute for about 1 minute. Serve over the pastry lower halves, place the upper half on top and pour a small quantity of the mushroom mix over the entire dish. Enjoy
  6. I am planning on arranging an excursion for our Millennium Transpacific April 25 Shanghai- Seward. I am looking for recommendations for tour operators for 29/30 APR 2013. We arrive in Kobe 29 APR 10AM and departs 30 APR 6PM so I am thinking of limiting the tour to the remainder of 29 APR in Kyoto and 30 APR in Nara. Any suggestions for tour operators appreciated.
  7. Provided you don't have some other discount/credit such as OBC for an onboard booking, OBC from a sale event, balcony discount (RCI) etc.
  8. Thankfully at this point TSA has not brought their "security theater" to the cruise industry. Otherwise we'd all have to show up the day before for boarding! But I'm sure its on their list of nice juicy targets.
  9. I've been in IT my entire working life and all I can say is --- ABSOLUTELY. One of the worst examples of systems I've ever seen. And it isn't just the customer interface either, the onboard sales people struggle with it every day also.
  10. I used it last week to make partial payment on our May 2012 Panama Canal cruise and the credit showed on my account two days later. GREAT deal, I love free money :)
  11. One comment here, Royal Caribbean is shooting themselves in the foot abandoning a very good facility at the Port of Miami to move their ships to Port Everglades? I have used both ports extensively and it is beyond me why anyone thinks that Everglades is a better port.
  12. It'll go higher before its over. The state of the world's economies is driving it and they are getting worse not better. The flight to gold will continue and the prices will continue to rise.
  13. Our cruise is getting closer by the day. And so is the day when I finalize and place the order for the pins. I will place the order on September 1st and I want to make sure that everyone who wants them has a chance to order them. As of today I have orders for an amazing 356 pins and 10 cufflink sets. If you have sent a check please be advise that I check the PO box about once a week so I may not have found your letter as yet. Updates on payments are posted online (see below) Information on the pin, how to order, and the running order and payment list is always online at the location in my SIG below (Liberty Transatlantic Oct 2011 Pin) Cufflinks I will make a few pins into cufflink sets for formal nights if any of the gentlemen are interested. These photos are of some I made for our Navigator Transatlantic and Equinox Mediterranean cruises this past April along with a set I made from our old C&A Diamond pins. If you would like a set please email me at clippermiami at gmail dot com. $12.00/set at SailAway (these are at my cost, two pins plus the cufflink findings.) For those interested t-shirts, caps, etc., items using this pin design are also available from Cafe Press at the location in my SIG below (T-Shirts and other items at Cafe Press)
