Scarlet - I'm on the same cruise and also 30 minutes from port. We always park there - it is very convenient. You can walk from the parking to the port building. We have also taken our luggage without assistance to our car after the cruise (its that close). Parking is $19/day (so for the 8 days will be around $160).
Thanks!! I hope to you see you on board. Are you guys coming to the meet and mingle?

Scarlet - regardless of your boarding time, Suite passengers get bumped to the front of the line so you shouldn't have an issue boarding when you arrive.
Thanks, Sue. I called RC today and they said the same thing.
-
Scarlet - were there choices or did it just assign the time? I had choices, earliest being 11:15am.
Yes, there were three choices, but the earliest as of yesterday was 1:45pm.

Thanks so much. My DH suggested that I call RC today and see if they can change our board time. My DS needs his nap by 12:30-1pm and will really be disrupted otherwise. It's probably my own fault that I didn't complete the paperwork earlier.... oh well. Let's see what happens.

We live 30 mins from Bayonne and usually take a car service..... it's probably cheaper to just park there. Is it convenient? Were you happy with it?

How much does the parking cost?
-
I just did my paperwork and you're right that they assign times based upon when you complete your paperwork. The earliest arrival time is now 1:45pm. We booked a grand suite and are hoping that if we arrive at noon they will let us board early.

We just completed our paperwork and the earliest arrival time is not until 1:45pm. We have booked a grand suite. Will they let us on the ship earlier say around noon?
-
How can we book this reservation? Can it be done in advance?

With the dynamic dining, is there still a "formal" night or is it, you make your own formal night if you want to eat at Grande?

Cat26 - which sandals is $120/pp? how far is it from the cruise ship port?

Hey everybody - My bid on priceline was accepted - details:
Saturday 2/7/09
Marriott San Juan Resort and Stellaris Casino
$212.01 (total including taxes) - bid of $175
For those of you who are currently looking for a hotel in San Juan in Feb 09 this is an EXCELLENT price. This hotel is currently going for $423 (total including taxes) for their cheapest city view room.
Even if you're hesitant about using priceline to bid for a pre-cruise room its totally cool - b/c you're only going to be there one night. Also, just select 4 stars deluxe - and san juan and there are only a few options in that location at that star level (the Marriott, the Condado, the Sheraton, etc), if you click on definition of 4 stars they'll tell you what the possible selection is.
I've done the priceline for my precruise in Miami and got a great deal as well. It really works.
Good Luck!!!

It appears we all have the SAME question! I was thinking of the biking option. We'll be there in Feb. and I was told the weather is in the 80s. So that might be too hot. Not sure. I wish someone knew....

Has anyone rented bicycles and rode to Bohio? I was wondering if it was too far to bike. I'm trying to decide if bikes are worth it since we'll probably spent most of our time at Bohio. How large is the island? My group is pretty fit and enjoy biking....is it possible to get some kind of map if going off on our own a little?
Last time I emailed with them in 05/07 there was no problem arranging things directly with them and I did identify myself as a cruiser. I will email them to see if they'll be doing a snorkeling trip for 1 1/2 hrs at $20. I mean that's a steal considering the carnival charges more than double that. We'll see how it works out....
-
Hi everybody, here's a copy of the response to my email to Bohio Dive Resort, information as of 5/2/07
Thank you for your interest in Bohio. We have a resort fee of $10 per person
and includes use of a chaise lounger (sun bed), pool and beach. We have
snorkel equipment available for $20 per day, per person but you will
probably only be here 4-5 hours so I would give you 1/2 rate at $10. Life
jackets are also available along with rentals for bicycles, kayaks, and
Hobie Cat sailboats.
Our restaurant offers a full menu and bar during your visit and may include
the option of a beachside B-B-Q.
I hope that this helps!

Someone mentioned that you can rent snorkeling equipment for $20, but does that include a life jacket so you can just kinda float out there? Also, when you went out far was it really far out was it scary far?
To mothers with small children!!!!

This has been very helpful; however, any advice for our 15 mos old? Both my DH and I will be with him and we have a passport for DS. Right now I have:
first aid kit
vitamins
infant tylenol
infant advil
glycerin infant - for constipation
Is there any seasickness medicine for an infant/toddler under 2?
