Waiting on Chat to confirm, but noticed that Greece had been removed from the list of countries that require a negative test prior to boarding. I received an email earlier this week with an attached letter which had Greece on the list, however when I looked on NCL site this morning  - no Greece??

Yes - I've noticed that Greece is no longer on the list too   ....so that's one less thing to worry about now before we board the Jade later this month  😁

I have just come off a 4 night trip on Silhouette from Southampton and was shocked by the behaviour of some fellow passengers.

They were rude to staff, drunk, loud and we found ourselves apologising to staff for their behaviour.

Normally, if there’s a few people at the bar, you sort of let the people who were there first be served before you. Not on this cruise. Loud mouths pushing in with no respect for their fellow guests.

It seemed as if the majority were first time cruisers who got this at a cheap price and the ship was also full.

The staff were amazing and we love Celebrity. If any staff read this then thank you.

I was also on this cruise.

Whilst we had a fabulous cruise, it was noticeable that there were quite a few onboard, who were partying a little too hard and weren't very respectable to the crew.

I did also experienced first hand one evening in the 'Craft Social' the drunken Loud Mouths pushing-in

However, this was our first Celebrity cruise and we'd definitely cruise again with them.

@MrMuscleDudeThank you for taking the time to reply, we do not want to risk not taking the incorrect documentation so have booked supervised tests for Wednesday. If I am feeling brave I might ask when we check in, if I do I will report back.

Really looking forward to this cruise, could be the first of many with Celebrity.

@si_boy We are doing a similar Celebrity cruise to yourself out of Southampton but in August. Who did you you use for your supervised tests and did you experience any issues when boarding ?

I think you can pick which one you want as you book it onboard. We just pre paid for the show (Arkymea) but saw others say that even if they paid for one in particular they were allowed to swap onboard.

Thanks Kernow   ...I was hoping that would be the case

p.s. Really enjoyed following your Live Virtuosa blog recently

  5. Has anyone booked the combined Duo dining experience and Carousel show ?

I've pre-booked this offer prior to our Cruise on the Virtuosa in July, and I'm wondering which Carousel show (Ajedrez or Arkymea) is part of this combined package     ....or are you able to choose ?

    Thanks

This is unbelievable - just had an email from P&O in which they say:

"Log into My P&O Cruises to take a look at the entertainment on offer and make sure you book before you sail for the shows you don’t want to miss. Whether you’re hankering for a night at the theatre, missing sinking into a plush armchair in front of the latest blockbuster, losing yourself in a night of live music – or all three – you’ll find it all on your P&O Cruises holiday."

Firstly, there is no mention of the Entertainment section in My P&O Cruises of the theatre  at all! Secondly, the entertainments that are mention ie Signature Performances, Live Music and Guest Presenters all have a "Book Now" button but when you press these the all come up with the same wording -

"These events are not bookable. Simply turn up to enjoy or ask our friendly staff for more details. We look forward to seeing you there"

What is going on!! Please sort this out P&O - how come such bookings can be made if sailing on Britannia on 29th Aug but not on Iona sailing the day before?  Has anyone had more luck than me?

    Having exactly the same issue.

Tried calling P&O earlier in the week and the message specifically said they can't help with questions about any pre-cruise bookings at this time.

Sent an email to ask about it  - still no reply

Tried calling today  -  only to hear the message stating they are too busy and call back another time. At which point the call is automatically ended.

I'd normally be getting rather excited about a cruise with only 9 days to go    ...but definitely not feeling it at the moment

So assuming 1300 ish cabins ( I think that’s right?) and 2 per cabin as I assume still no children due to COVID restrictions means about 1600??

If someone could check my maths😄

I believe there are nearer to 1,800 cabins and would therefore assume a 60% capacity would be around 2,000 guests.

There’s a good chance there will be some children, as they are allowed to travel with P&O as long as they are fully vaccinated

  8. I'd like to point out I'm grateful of this thread which has highlighted this issue but more importantly has made me aware I can request AM and PM service.

We will be travelling with Carnival for the first time in August on the Vista.

We have done many other cruise with 3 other lines and never experienced less than 2 room services per day.

As 4 of us share a balcony cabin, it would be a deal breaker for us to only have the 1 service per day ....as this would mean the children's beds including the pull-down one would be out all day making the room totally impractical for day use.

Thank you to those who have given me the heads up about this potential issue.

    Forewarned is forearmed !! [emoji106]

  9. The dropdown bed is the panel above the pillows. The smaller "box" in front of that panel is the A/C unit..............

get-attachment.aspx?uid=29998481&folder=NewMail&partId=4I don't know if the couch--a 2 seater, is also a sofa bed, but with the curtain closed, that person will have no circulating air, to speak of. As you can see, there is only seating for 3. The table holds one tray.

    get-attachment.aspx?uid=29998481&folder=NewMail&partId=7The balcony is about 4 feet deep.get-attachment.aspx?uid=29998481&folder=NewMail&partId=5

Bathroom on left, closets on right. "Hallway" is one person wide.

Sink and shelves. As I recall, no shelves on other side of sink. Shaver outlet is above light fixture.

I didn't post these anywhere else because I have never had any success on CC when I've tried to do so.

Hope these help. I'm not a complainer, but I stand by everything I've said about these cabins.

    Hi OHCruiser

I cant see any pics or any links to pics I'm afraid.

Would you mind emailing them here please ?

    Thanks again :D

  10. Hi there,

We're on the same cruise. I suggest you call your Travel Agent and ask about a cabin change. This cruise is far from sold out. There are cabins in every category still availabe. It may not be too difficult to change.

I wouldn't wait too long though.

    Terri

    Hi Terri,

On the UK website there are no verandah-balcony or Signature/Verandah Suites left.

Are you saying these are available on th US site ?

    thanks

  11. Yes OHCRUISER ... I think yours was one of the posts I've read.

We've done the 4 of us in a balcony cabin before and normally it hasn't been a problem because we don't spend much time in the cabin.

However I'm concerned these cabins may be smaller than we've previously encountered.

I'm also concerned what the 3rd and 4th bed set-up arrangements will be. One post said the bed that lowers was above the heads of the queen bed set-up.

If that's the case my wife is going to freak as she claustrophobic !

Do you have any picture of the room layout or are you able to confirm the bed layout ?

    Thanks again

  12. Has anyone stayed on the Noordam in an observation deck 10 VA balcony cabin and can give me a balanced opinion ?

From my research these are new cabins that have been added recently.

I've only found a couple of posts which worryingly have negative comments about them due to bad location (not good for lifts), balconies are smaller than most others and A/C not up to the job with the cabins being subjected to so much sun where they are, so cabins are far too hot.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children) booked into one of these balcony cabins and due to sail at the end of August, but I'm getting worried we may not enjoy this cabins and it therefore ruining our holiday ?
