That's one of the reasons I don't go to the circus anymore.
You certainly have been a joy.

Hello from Boston and thanks so much for holding me in your memories. I've been doing conventions, club dates, and private shows. HAL was always my favorite. If they can offer a guest status job (many lines made entertainers crew during COVID, are doing very well, but didn't offer that important amenity back since), I would live to be back on HAL, and left a message for my agent already. Fingers crossed!
Thank you for the enjoyment you have given us, God bless.

Thank you everyone. I'm convinced. No more cruising just reading about now,

Thank you everyone for your help. It was just thought for our last cruise at our age.

I was considering booking a 7 day cruise and which would include the parents in their 80's and son and daughter-in-law in their 50's.

Trying to just check out a cruise in Feb. 2024 and it wants me ask for a quote. Earlier I had been looking and I could get a price. Now it won't. Has anyone had this happen?

Please listen to Gus's opening statement, and one will hear him acknowledge the "PC" members at the event.
I heard it too!

Sir PMP - I agree with you. They should have had all the former living captains there.
HAL certainly had enough time to plan for this in advance!
They seem to not be able to please "everyone" these days.

What led you to worry that the safety of the passengers was not being maintained? It has been my experience that HAL takes very seriously its responsibilities for its passengers.
you are quite right, the Port Authority in New Caldonia looked after us the moment we were put off the ship (the Noordam). However there were no political problems there as were reported at that port. My wife was by herself in New Caldonia and she never feared for safety. I was just concerned if the same could be said for the passengers who were put of the ship (Zuiderdam), that was all I was thinking.
-
What about the safety of the passengers taken off the ship for medical reasons and their families? Who is going watch out for them? You can get supplies somewhere else, but what about them?
I experienced that happening to me in New Caldonia in 2019 and all worked out, No uprising happening and we made home safe and sound. I pray that those passengers will be safe too.

We would love to Cruise again before it is really impossible due to age and health problems, the use of the "direct luggage service", might be one way to make it possible.
Hope and pray your health is improving. God Bless.

The crew appreciation charge is added daily to your account, one day at a time and per person. We never have had a problem this. We then gave extra to who we thought deserved it.

We were on the Koningsdam and were in 1053 an inside cabin. It had a lot room.

Including 18% gratuity Caneletto is $22.40 per person and Pinnacle is $46.00. 3 star and up would earn a discount off these prices.
Thank you for the update.

They do include the 18 percent gratuity.
Wow that sounds good to us, especially since we are 4-star. Thanks for the update.

Thank you. The costs are higher than they were the last time we cruised several years ago, but that was to be expected, again thank you.

What is the cost to eat in each of the Specialty restaurants on Rotterdam? We have dining credits do they include Rudi’s Sel de Mer? New to HAL so trying to learn the ropes.
But can you me the cost of Pinnacle or Canneletto? I don;t have "Have it all", so I have to pay to eat in the Pinnacle or Canneletto, what are the costs per person?
-
Thank you. They sound fair enough.

What are daily HIA charges per person per cabin? I am sure they have increased since we last cruised in 2019?
