Thank you. I have not cruised with Celebrity since 2012 and couldn’t remember. Have cruised with P&O and it gives you an actual time so boarding is spread out between say 12 and 4 to avoid everyone turning up together.

i am booked on the Bravo cruise which is a charter from Southampton. On my express pass it says check in time range 10.30-15.00. Is this normal?
-
20 sleeps until my next cruise, Celebrity Silhouette Bravo cruise, really looking forward to it..

If you go to the website portsofstockholm.com you can click on Stockholm or Nynashamn and a particular date and see who is in port. This site shows the Eclipse to be in Stockholm on July 29th. Unfortunately not all Celebrity ships will be docking there as the Silhouette will still be docking in Nynashamn in June for our cruise. I imagine it's because we overnight there. Would much rather dock in Stockholm!
We are overnight on Silhouette in August and at present supposed to be docking in Frihamnen, hoping we don’t get moved to Nynashamn.

Thanks for all the tips, he has only recently started taking insulin as was tablet controlled before. I have checked the box and his can but stored out of the fridge for up to 28 days so we should be fine.

Thank you, yes I was talking about non alcoholic. My husband cannot drink alcohol due to his meds so unfortunately will have to keep to the ‘soft’ stuff.
-
Can you get mocktails on the classic non alcoholic package or do you need the premium package.
-
All sorted, xpress pass printed so ready to go.

Thanks for the replies will double check.

You check the box on the printed copy of the express pass and sign the pass.
Thank you I was looking for somewhere before I got that far. :)

I have just completed online check in including credit card info. Where do I say that I want my card issuer to do the conversion from £ to $

It depends on how you want to use it. We like to prepay everything (if we don't get it as a perk) so we know how much it costs. However, to answer your questions.
1. Yes, you can buy on the ship for just the days left. I'm not positive, but I think you have to buy within the first few days (e.g. can't buy on day 6 of a 7 day cruise). Also, any purchases BEFORE you buy the package are kept as normal charges.
2. Yes, you always pay the 18% on any beverage CHARGE (If you get the Classic Package as a perk, you don't pay the 18% on that, but for any upgrade you do pay 18% on the difference. Ex1: you get the Classic as a perk and decide to upgrade to Premium - you pay $10 pp/pd + $1.80 pp/pd. Ex2: you buy the Classic package and pay $55 pp/pd + $9.90 pp/pd. Ex3: you have the Classic and decide to buy a $12 drink and pay the $3 difference + $0.54.
Thank you so much for such a detailed reply. I think I will probably buy before I go. If you buy from uk before you go does anyone know if you are charged in sterling or $. Just wondering what card to use 😊

Is it best to buy a drinks package before you go or on the ship. Can you only buy on first day or later in the cruise just for the amount of days left.
If you buy before you go so you still pay the 18% gratuity.
Thanks

The mini bar is not exactly a fridge, more like a cooler. Most people find it sufficiently cool for medications.
Thank you for your reply.

Is there a fridge in the cabins on Silhouette suitable for storing insulin?
-
Wish we could do this in uk. Cruise I am booked on has had a big price reduction. Nothing we can do, I did ask about upgrading to aqua but was told it would not be the price offered today but the price it was on the day I booked.
Of well at least I am going on a cruise. 😄

Thank you for your replies. I am travelling with a friend and have registered her name as she is the lead passenger. I have received an email back confirming but it only mentions her. Presumably If there are enough people registered for a party she will get an invite eveni if I don’t and I can gatecrash.
-
When registering for a connections party does each person in cabin have to register or is it ok for just the lead passenger to register.
-
Looking forward to travelling with you

For me, the Elite evening drinks makes the drink package useless. And they do offer other options such as paid gratuities, unlimited internet or On Board Gratuity which I can then use to buy drinks at dinner and afterwards.
Den
I am not sure if it is different wherever you are booking but I am in UK and the drinks package was not an either/or option when I booked. It was included and I am not naive enough to think we didn’t pay for it in the cost of the cruise so I do understand where the OP is coming from.
This will be my first sailing as elite so I have not experienced the cocktail hour yet so I don’t know if it is something I will enjoy or not. I would have preferred the option of a lower priced fare to give me choice but this was not possible.
What I am disappointed about is the last time I was on eclipse michaels club was available to all and was a favourite of ours for a nightcap so I will miss that.
I understand things change and I will still have a wonderful cruise I am sure.

Thank you for the info.
-
We have the classic package included, can anyone tell me what the difference is between the premium coffees and teas which are included and the speciality coffees and teas which are not. Many thanks.
-
Thank you for taking the time to do this have now read both threads with interest

My understanding is that the auto gratuities only go to restaurant staff and your cabin stewards and are not given to the behind the scenes staff. Can anyone confirm that back room staff actually get a share of the auto gratuities. I have checked the Celebrity website (U.K.) and there is no mention of anyone else having a portion of these gratuities.
Food on Silhouette
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Just returned from the Bravo music cruise and really enjoyed the entertainment however not so happy with the food on this cruise.
Not sure if it is normal but most of the meals were lukewarm at best. I have been reading reviews and they mostly say how good the food is. Is it just me that likes their food hot? Also noted although not a worry to me that in the MDR steak was not offered nightly as one of the always available dishes, Irish stew was on one night and liver on two nights, not sure about the other four.
I know I will be shot down in flames but I also found a lot of the food bland. Hubby thought the food was ‘down to a price’ as it was a charter but checking menus on here I don’t think so as our menus were similar. Interested to hear others thoughts as back on Silhouette on August.
