  1. 7100 is a category 2A between the mid and forward elevators.  I'm not sure what the blank space is in the middle but maybe a crew stairway.  I'd consider moving to 7108-7116 if they were available with inside cabins across the hallway and the doors on the port side it might be a bit quieter.

On "M" class ships 2C cabins are 170 sq ft so about 20 sq ft smaller than all balcony's on "S" class ships.  On "M" class Concierge and Aqua rooms are 191 sq ft about the same as "S" class balcony's.

What category cabin did you have booked on Reflection?

  2. Yes - so far I have let my wife handle this.... as she is good with words
but 6 months is getting ridiculous.... I told her to wait a week before contacting them again and if there is no news on the refund I will phone them the following week and give them a piece of my mind!!!! - that's if my wife will let me

Why carry on back and forth ? Enough is enough . Charge back on your credit card. We did this on hotel accom that was cancelled by the hotel . Said we weren’t entitled to refund which we were . Gave then 1 week to respond. They didnt , so took it to our credit card company . No prob .

  3. Is there anyway to tell how many cabins are booked on a cruise? We are on the Dec. 4th sailing of the Reflection, and it seems like there is no one left on the MOB, board most everyone has cancelled. We wanted to see if there were enough cabins booked, all things being equal, that it would actually sail.

    We cancelled last week xx

We paid a little less for our next year’s cruise (identical) than we would have for this years if it had happened!

In our experience over the last few years Caribbean and world wide cruises have remained fairly static whilst Mediterranean cruises have become significantly more expensive. We only book suites so I don’t know if this is the trend for all room categories...

Yep agree. Prices for Med from UK have gone shooting up

  5.  It seems to us that Celebrity prices are high  trying to get people back onto their ships once  it is safe to cruise again

Their competitors ,like Princess seem lower  yet even including perks they seem to be high as well

what are your thoughts on this topic ?

We have just canceled this Dec 10 night Caribbean on Reflection and booked 10 nights Caribbean on Millie for Feb 2022 at same price , including drinks package. Happy.

  6. We were on the Edge in early Feb of this year and had connecting cabins 7282 and 7284 which were both great. No obstructions. I wasn’t a fan of the Infinite Verandah. The cabin gets very hot if the window is open so you have to close the accordion door for the A/C to work in the bedroom.

Thank you. I did wonder about the balcony’s. I really wanted an ordinary verandah but all those have gone so we have booked Millennium for almost same Caribbean programme

  8. I have FCC from cruise i cancelled last week . We want to book now for Feb 2022. Is the FCC applied,$300, at final payment? Obviously it will take 60 days from now to receive code , but if we rebook today do we still get our FCC?

  9. My guess average age on QM2 winter crossing is about 75-80.   Just a guess.  Seems that way to me.  Lots of round trippers too from either New York or Southampton.  Christmas time lately has been a trip from New York down to Caribbean and back.  That's a wonderful trip as the ship goes all out for Xmas.

Agree. In fact we have done 7 Transatlantic crossings on QM 2 covering all seasons and we are in our 50s and defiantly spring chickens !!!

I'm so sorry you have had that experience here and wish I had jumped in again earlier when I saw the tone of some of the replies. Your question was perfectly reasonable and your suggestions quite appropriate. Just why some people have to take such a tone is beyond me. In my experience those people are not indicative of the types I have met on board the Cunard ships. I do hope you give Cunard a try one day and I hope you enjoy the cruise you ended up booking.

    Agree 100%
