And I still get sore . I've limited my workout to two reps each day; three reps were just too much. I'm glad to say I've been sticking with it :D
Here is another one I'm going try starting next week:
I'm probably going to hate and love it at the same time :)

I ate whatever I wanted and didn't gain a pound.
Hooray for stairs! :p
-
I searched but did not find anything addressing this situation. On my previous cruise ship (Monarch) I found it was much faster getting up and down the decks via the stars versus waiting for the elevators. Is it the same on the Allure? Or is the ship so big I shouldn't even attempt the stairs?
I'd like to think getting around on the stairs will help out with the weight I'm going to gain on the ship :p However the truth is I just want to get where I want to go without having to wait...and wait....and then wait some more...

However it's cheaper to buy the tickets directly form the resort than through the excursion. One adult is currently $125 (not sure about child admission). From what I've read on other boards, you can catch a cab directly from the port (approx. $4/pp one way).

...It will be an OBC once on the ship.
Do you know if we can request it to be OBC prior to being on the ship? My trip is in March. Let's say I have a booked excursion that I now plan to do outside on my own. Can I request this to be "transferred"?

I threw in the 3 rep cycle because it seemed like it was supposed to be this way. Maybe I'm in overkill mode D: I think I found this on Pinterest too. I really like these! I don't know what it is, but they seem less stressful.

First I'd like to say I am really glad I found Cruise Critic. None of my friends get as excited as I do when I talk about cruising. This place has it all; cruise lines, port discussions, and now this board :D
I have been looking to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle for some time now. I was doing the P90X program (meals and workout) before I attended college. It was intense and I felt like it was a full-time job. I didn't like this. But I was really fit so I maintained and progressed. Then college began, and I have slowly descended into my heaviest weight I have ever been. It's really disheartening when your "big" clothes are starting to fit a little too snug.
Now that I am about 7 months away from my cruise, I am more motivated to reach my goal. I know I don't want to do any Beach Body type programs. Don't get me wrong, they are great tools. However I never really felt they worked for me. I hated each workout, and I don't think I should have this mentality if I am going to stick to a program.
I found the picture below online. It looked easy enough, and you only need to do three reps each day. However I knew, before even trying it out, the workout was going to be a challenge for me. I haven't worked out in some time, I have virtually no cardio endurance to speak of, and I'm just plain out of shape. Today was my first day of trying it. It really did a number on me. I was sweating and sore before I knew it. So for those who are in the same boat as I am right now, check it out and let me know what you think. If those of you have other exercises like the one below, post for me. I will need to change it up soon :D

I appreciate your response :)

Does anyone know how much a cab will cost for two? I purchased the Aquaventure excursion for two for our cruise but found out it's cheaper to purchase the entrance fee at the Atlantis Resort. I'm trying to figure out if the cab fare will make us break even. Also, are there plenty of cabs available when leaving the resort?
-
Now I really can't wait :)
-
BUT if I had to chose, it would be 2-3 per year. I'm all about the experience :)
-
Does anyone know when the option to purchase is available? I'm sailing in March 2015 on the Allure and want to get tickets before they are sold out.
-
It will be that much more special as a surprise :)

Give me the ocean and two coronas ;-)
-
Where is this? I want to be there :D
-
Has anyone done it? I initially booked the Aquaventure excursion but am having second thoughts. I really wanted a beach day but none of the excursions I booked include one. Are there activities offered, such as jet skis, snorkeling, or others?

It is very EASY to file a "dispute" charge on your card. Ours was taken care of in 24 hours.
The banks don't like anyone else messing around with "their" money :p The ONE reason why I love CC's lol

I haven't actually checked my emails today though. I was poking around on my RCI web reservation and clicked the link to add excursions. I was able to book three (I actually posted a new excursions "for fun" thread).
Keep trying, it may just be a temporary IT issue.

DH and I just booked Atlantis Aquaventure, 5 Star Island Tour in St. Thomas, and The Extreme zip line in St. Maarten. We'll definitely be tiring ourselves out :p
-
I added mine when I initially booked. I'm sure you can contact RCI and request to pre-pay.

Our trip is in March as well, and I too am currently waiting for them to project their flights for then. I hate playing the waiting game :)

VERY well done! I am the type of person who likes to know what I am getting myself into in all things. This review has immensely helped. As I was reading your review late last night (and this morning), I kept telling my husband how much of an amazing cruise we are going to have. We set sail in March, so this post definitely helps me visualize my time there.
Question about Nassau. Would you recommend a beach day excursion for this port? I do want to spend one day at the beach but don't want to spend it at an island where I should be doing something more fun. If Nassau itself isn't that great for sightseeing and whatnot, then I would rather do the beach thing here than anywhere else (unless you can recommend otherwise?)
Again, great review! I appreciate the time you took in uploading and commenting on all.

After reviewing the Allure of the Seas deck plan codes, I realized that the balcony room could really do no wrong as long as we were in the ideal location. I knew I wanted a balcony overlooking the ocean. But the deck plan lists two separate codes for their Superior Balcony Stateroom. These fall under the "D" codes.
I called RCI and was told there really is no difference in stateroom/balcony codes except for their location (on the Allure). The only difference is the D1 stateroom code. This code has a larger balcony than the other D codes, and therefore are higher in price (although not by much). So if you are wanting to have the experience of a larger balcony, then look into the ships deck plans to see which offers the larger deck.
Personally, I would pick a stateroom balcony based on how close (or far) it is to the ships amenities. Don't forget to look at the floors above and beneath you as well. Trying to sleep when the casino/disco is going all night on the floor above you is no fun, unless you're the one keeping the party going ;)
How I lost 60 pounds from cruise to cruise

A friend of mine was struggling to lose her last 10. She was instructed to cut out all dairy. Cheese was her weakness, but she did it. Within a couple of weeks of cutting out dairy, she lost 8 lbs. and looks very toned. This has me reconsidering the amount of dairy (specifically cheeses) I consume .
