  1. It has sadly been a very long time since I've been on a cruise and the last time we took one my kids were too little to enjoy kids activities. I'm very excited that at 8 and 10 they'll be able to do the kids club!  But what changes can I expect since 2014? I know the chocolate melting cake hasn't changed!!! 😉

  2. We cruise May 29 with kids who are used to eating dinner around 6pm. I just jumped on the Carnival site today and we were down for the late seating and the only option for your time is to be waitlisted. Ugh. Is this going to be a problem? Is there a hope of still getting assigned as your time or getting moved to early? Or are we just going to have to skip the MDR?

  3. We are considering a Christmas cruise for our 10th anniversary this year. But trying to decide between that or a resort based on prices. Right now it's looking like $850/person (family of 4) for ocean view before fees. What do you think the chances are of catching a price drop in the next 10-11 months? We did a Carnival Christmas cruise a few years ago at $719/person for an OV room. If a kids sail free special happens can I get a price drop for that?

  4. It doesn't look like theres a lot of tour options that are really kid friendly at Progreso and we're going over during Christmas week and they seem to have less tours than normal. Looking for suggestions. Planning beach resort at cozumel and not up for 2 beach days so that's not an option. What's the pier like? I'm kind of thinking we may just get off on our own and spend a couple of hours. Any suggestions from those with littles? Kids are 1 and 3, the 1 year old is easy and will just nap if not interested. 3 year old not so much!

  5. Following. I'm interested in this as well as I have a similar set up on December with our son in our room and my sister and our daughter next door. We are hoping to move our son to either her room or my parents room one night while we celebrate our anniversary ;) I know one option is just to let him sleep in their bed but we're working so hard to get him to sleep in a crib.

  6. Paradise beach is generally calm and has easy water entry for kids. If it is a bit rough you can use the heated pool. There are chairs in shaded areas if that suits you best.

Often they can find you some beach toys for the kids that others have left behind.

You will need to buy a bracelet and some food or drink.

Clean restrooms and free Wi-fi add to the appeal of this beach club.

Monicajay do you just take a taxi there?

  7. DH and I have done Chakanaab Park a few years ago before kids so we didn't pay much attention to what was available for kids. What's the best beach option for a 1 and 3 year old? Looking at a return on our own to Chakanaab or doing something like Isla Passion via catamaran through Carnival. Other options?

    Thanks!

  8. Is there any way to do a price drop online or does it require a call? Have 5 rooms booked for Christmas. All booked the same day but 3 under military discount, 1 under previous cruiser and 1 as a regular early saver fare. With 3 different rates I'm confused about checking for the price drop. Feel like I just need to call and bug our agent once a week to check! Lol!
