  1. Some FTTF just opened for 11-08-14 sunshine sailing. Thank you to all that suggested emailing shore excursion desk for updates. I received an email telling me tickets would be available!!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! :D I emailed the shore exursion as well and received a reply that the FTTF had opened up and I booked it. Thank you again for letting us know:)

  2. I am enjoying your review so far - we sail on the Dream from New Orleans next month. I hate that you lost your cooler. Carnival now has a rule on coolers that they can't be more than 12"x12"x12" and that isn't very big at all. I was looking for information on that a few months back and saw comments from several different people that said some of the ports were extremely strict on it.

I read somewhere that someone didn't check the cooler, they put a luggage tag on it and allowed it to go to the room with their luggage. Can you do that now with the cooler rule?

  3. Can someone tell me when formal nights on the Dream will be when it goes out of New Orleans? The itinerary has 2 sea days the first 2 days and 1 sea day the night before back to port. We want to reserve the Steakhouse to celebrate our 30th anniversary but don't want to give up our 2 formal nights:D

  4. Congrats on your 30th; we did ours last year (see below).

You can always send John Heald a FB message and/or request guest services to advise your Cruise Director once aboard.

    Congrats again!

Hi, How do you search for John on facebook to friend him? I tried searching his name and he didn't come up. Thanks!

  5. My husband and I are thinking about trying to do this tour on the Dream. Can anyone give me information about it? I have read that the tour is $95 to $55 depending on the ship. Is this by person? I am trying to talk my husband into doing this. I think he would love it. Can someone give me some details so I can convince him?

    Thanks!

  6. Here is what John Heald had to say about the subject.

"The home port advisory is something that we put there for internal use and its not anything we actually offer the guests until such time as text alerts for delayed embarkation etc are needed"

    Thanks!

  7. Thanks everyone. We leave in April. The whole trip w/ spending money is a gift from my employer. looking forward to this cruise. Sailed from the N.O. port back in 1997 and the line was terrible, although there was construction going on at the convention center. Will take the advice and get there early. Thanks again.

    Skelly.

    Nice gift:)
