I have read through prior posts and I looked through the photos but for those who have cruised this year, what lines moved the fastest and which were the slowest to transfer to the airport? Uber/lyft, taxi, or cruise line shuttle? This would be for passengers with only carry on luggage and provided they could easily walk to the Uber/lyft pickup area.

Thank you to those who've posted. I'm Still looking for additional menus, preferably Alaska itinerary, since they are about to start again.
-
Thank you for the menus. Please keep them coming!
-
Thanks for those that have posted. We'll be on the Star so looking for something that may show up in her restaurants.
-
I'm looking for photos of any menus, including room service, main dining, and specialty restaunts, from 2018-2019. If it was from an Alaska sailing, that would be even better!

Can the starbucks app or starbucks gift cards be used on the ships?
-
Use it or lose it. It's described in the Terms and Conditions of the promo.
$50 Per Port Shore Excursion Credit:
$50 USD per port shore excursion credit is per stateroom.
Credit has no monetary value and is nonrefundable.
In the event a port of call or excursion is missed, for any reason, no refund or credit will be issued.
Shore excursion credit is applicable for each port, including debarkation port, and is not transferable to other ports. Use the credit or lose it.
Does not include embarkation ports. Overnight stays count as one port, except Bermuda sailings which can receive up to 3 individual days of shore excursion credit.
Shore excursion credit can only be redeemed by calling 1-866-625-1167 or booking onboard.
Thanks! The fine print isn't on the flyer they sent for group amenities.
-
The excursion credit listed is $50 Shore Excursion Credit per stateroom (up to 4 ports). My question is, if you don't use it at one port could you then use $100.00 at the next or is this a case of if you don't use it, you lose it?

Thanks everyone! This is exactly the information I was looking for!
-
Can this be done prior though, such as day 1 or even before sailing? Making prior reservations for the entire week.
-
It has been awhile since I was on NCL. It was before all the Free At Sea stuff. As I am traveling with a group they are wanting to know how to reserve dining times together. My understanding is the specialty restaurants will become available online after final payment. How does it work when trying to be seated together in the main dining room? Can it be requested upon boarding with the maitre d or does it need to be requested when going to dine? What are the rules for reserving a table? Can it be reserved for 2 people or what is the minimum?

Not being able to self disembark and having a lot of luggage to tote and check will slow down the process.
Roz
Sent from my SM-S820L using Forums mobile app
Thanks! I am going to advise against that flight unless they can figure out how to take their own luggage off.
-
How big is the group you're traveling with, and are they self-directed or do they need to be herded? That can make a huge difference. Is there anyone with mobility issues?
Roz
There is no one with mobility issues and they are pretty good at directions. In total, there are 21 of us but not all will be on the same flight. The ones wanting the early flight will not be able to carry off their luggage though. They will have too much of it, I have no doubt on that one.
-
11:00 AM is the earliest recommended time. That time and your time requires being in the first group off the ship. Yes you can make it but if you are like me and get worried and stressed about making an early flight you could consider taking a later flight and not rushing off the ship. However if the rest of your party wants the early flight then the key is be in the first group off the ship and head over to the airport.
Keith
Just to clarify then, they would need to carry their own bags off the ship, not collect them in the warehouse, right? Also, what is the normal wait time through SEA security if you do not have pre-check? The Ruby will be debarking passengers too so we are looking at 7000 passengers getting off between the 2 ships that morning. I am seeing old posts saying anywhere from 1/2 an hour to 1 hour in TSA lines.
-
I searched but couldn't find information from last fall. What is the earliest flights you have made from Seattle? I am traveling with a group that wants to take an 11:35 am flight and I'm not feeling very comfortable with that. We will be coming off the Bliss.
-
They will each have identical menus in the evenings. The difference is that the Manhattan Room is a much larger, more elegant space with views of the ocean in 3 directions, a large dance floor, and live music each evening. The other 2 are just plain restaurants.
Thanks, that is what I figured but I wanted to be sure. Do you know which dining room is used for breakfast?
-
It has been awhile since I've been on NCL and the largest ship I've been on with them is the Pearl. I will be on the Bliss in July and have some questions regarding the main dining rooms.
Is there going to be a difference in the nightly menus served in Savor, Taste, and the Manhattan Room or is it just a difference in location? Also, which of these will be open for breakfast? I do realize the ship isn't even sailing yet but I would guess it will be similar to the sister ships.
-
It has been a few years since my last NCL cruise but I am booked on the Bliss in July. Does NCL offer a coffee package or a coffee card? There is nothing listed for coffee on what I can pre-book.

I am looking for prices of what travelers have actually paid for Uber or Lyft to and from IAH. I am trying to figure out if a party of 4 is better with booking one of the shuttles or directly with Uber/Lyft. Thanks!

Ask Mother Nature herself.
Too many variables for anyone to tell you. How do you plan around an air controllers strike in Paris, ice and storms in northeast US, hurricanes in Florida ?
Mother Nature is an exception to the rule , and the nature and extent of any circumstantial event which out of our control is not possible to plan around.
I realize it is hard to determine the weather but in general, does the fog blow out by the afternoon or does it hang around for days?
-
I will be on a group cruise at the end of January out of Galveston. For those with fog experience, what is a safe flight time out of IAH? When there are delays, how long does it usually last?

Hi,
I am looking for info to see if it is more cost effective to take a cab or the hotel shuttles. I've been quoted $55.00 per room from the Marriott properties for a cab and I've seen others listed at $20/person. What does a cab generally cost for 2 people?
Thanks!

We always stay at the Best Western Seattle Airport Hotel. I have pictures in my review here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2376089 post #4
Thank you. I will look into it. Did they offer a shuttle to a light rail station or was it within walking distance?
-
I believe that the OP is looking for Seatac hotels for the light rail, not downtown hotels.:)
Yes, thank you. Seatac hotels.
