Thank You.......#Vegasstrong

There is no pretty beach by the tender pier in Belize City. Pier is in the city and Belize City is a working city not a tourist city. There is a man made beach called Cucumber Beach in an area known as Old Belize. Mainly used by locals and there is a marina attached. You can google it for details.
As far as historical/colonial sites: there's the lighthouse and statue and a colorful Belize sign just to your right outside the tender pier gate. Or take a horse drawn carriage tour through the city. It will stop at the old Anglican Church and the Cultural Museum across the street, which is housed in the old Governors Mansion. Lots of artifacts. You can see the yacht and the cannon on the parade ground as you come into the pier. Not far away at all, maybe a mile walk.
Thank you so much for your concise and so helpful response....just what I was looking for:)

Hello you all!
After reading everything that was ever written about St. Thomas, San Juan, Amber Cove and Gran Turk,
and recent events in my home town, I am pretty much exhausted.
I did try to go through previous threads, wasn't very successful to find a pretty beach by the port.
Is there such a thing or what do you recommend not too far from there just to relax.
Is there anything historical/colonial close by, safe and worthy to visit.
Really appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks!!

It will be on the Carnival page.
I don't see updates any longer on the Carnival page, does anyone?
It used to be right there on the home page.

7:00 PM (EDT) is the latest update on the Carnival site
"HURRICANE IRMA UPDATE
WEATHER UPDATE 9/12/2017 – 7:00 PM (EDT)
All ships in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet are safe and our guests on extended voyages are well taken care of and continuing to enjoy a great cruising experience. All sailings scheduled to depart as of September 14, will depart as scheduled.
PORT EVERGLADES
Port Everglades has reopened and Carnival Conquest and Carnival Splendor have docked."
-
As per their 7:00 PM update Port Everglades now open!
Conquest and Splendor have now docked.
-
If you are lazy like me, and just want "something" you can purchase Carnival's (The one they offer, even though it's 3rd party), up to 6 weeks in advance of departure.
Or that's what they said when I called them.
-
Hopefully they will be back soon!

There are some right now. If you go to gift cards, then travel it will give you option of instant delivery for the 500.00.
The 100 you can find under ecards... use search type in "carnival".

I have an iPhone....don't know much about android. But I think you have to allow it in your phone security/privacy settings. Location service might not be enough, you probably need to go in deeper into app permissions/location permissions and look for the Drivewise app.
-
Have you enabled the location services in your privacy settings in your phone for drivewise?
-
Don't know if it has changed since I signed up 3 or 4 months ago.
I presume you checked while driving😀
-
If you go to settings on the app and turn off standby mode, and let it track you for a few trips a day for a couple of days, it should give you 10000 points.
It could be a trip to the store or the next red light. The app doesn't need to track you all day. A few short trips over a day or to should do the trick. The reason I was concerned is because I have limited data.
-
Sheal,
I also am not an Allstate policy holder.
I have never seen e-cards in the app.
The e-cards that I have purchased (5 of the $500.00 ones) in about 3 transactions, have all come to my email address within minutes of purchase.

Wowbidnow.....latest promo code

I am sure that is annoying, but just imagine if someone was to walk off with them!
-
How about when leaving them outside the cabin door the night before disembarkation, has anybody ever not found them in the pickup area off the ship?

Are you looking for a tour or just walk around the old city?
More of city sites after we visited the forts....was also concerned with the time. It would probably be dark after 6:00 P.M.in October, right?
-
Thanks.....great idea. I did look it up and they do have an afternoon/sunset tour. Will keep that in mind!
-
Were the chocolates bad because they were being just piled up on the dresser and recycled for future cruisers over and over?
-
I had the same, just clicked on "got it, thanks!" and went back to old site. Just entered promo code "bid4prizes" for 1000 extra points!
-
In port between 1:00 to 10:00 PM in late October. We plan on visiting the Forts first. What would you add afterwards for a couple of hours? Will it get dark early? Any must see in Old San Juan? Not really interested into spending much time at any restaurant or bar.
Thanks!

JW Marriott Marquis it is! Thanks for all the input......things to see in the evening in the area before or after dinner?
Splendor Steakhouse worth it?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Just debating whether to try it out or not on our upcoming cruise.
I am generally happy with main dining room food.
Would probably go just for seafood if available, like steak and lobster.
What is your favorite meal, including appetizers and desserts, at the Steakhouse?
Much appreciated!
