Saw the Zenith in Marsielles just 1 week ago under its new owners but still called Zenith.

Happy memories for us too.

The only problem I had with my fitbit on our Istanbul to Barcelona cruise was with the time changes.

Was brilliant otherwise.

Thank you EVERYONE for the info...we're on the Oct 2nd sailing as well and. although it's sad what so many had to go thru, we're very relieved things are returning to normal!:rolleyes:

hope it stays that way as thr ship was OK when we left Istanbul and the noro seems to have reared its ugly head a few days into the cruise.

We were one of 2 couples and we were fine, think the alcohol might have helped.

Felt sorry for the staff that had all the extra work to try and keep the ship clean and noro free.

Hated those thin Greek? paper towels in the public washrooms.

Any hints or advice on a good hotels Dania - Hollywood beach area.

When we were there last week there were at least 4 cruise ships in our port area, no problems with the free shuttle, it was great but the queues in town for the Touristic trains were horrendous,get there early if you can.

According to Princess we will be in Heraklion.

Knossos, Knossos Knossos, amazing with a visit to the museum in Heraklion where the original items from Knossos and the Minoan civilisation were taken.

In the UK we do not have TA s like in America.

Our TA s are high street stores specialising in selling all types of holidays but not with always specialist knowledge.We did find one high street shop with a designated Cruise department when we first cruised 20 years ago but their excellent staff soon left to go elsewhere usually to work for Cruise lines!

We also have different EU rules regarding deposits.

I know there are some specialist and independent agencies but not the norm.

we have booked direct with cruise lines for the last few years and have been very pleased with the service they offer.

We have not desserted Royal completley but after 2 cruises with Celebrity this year we have enjoyed the change and the differences.

Cannot understand having just got off Equinox and they obviously had problems they still hand out menus in the Dining room, we did pass on our thoughts on this and a suggestuion too.

They were serving in the Buffet for quite some days.

The water in the cabin was scalding.

They removed lots of things from cabins and we then had disposable plastic cups instaed of glasses.No paper booklets about things on board and the book with paper and envelopes removed.Also the bible!

Seems like another message was in our cabin every night.

Saw a large sign on computer room, closed for sterilisation.

No books or mags in library.

Had to ask at Guest relations for daily papers.

But fot me and I know they have to do it was the men in white overalls spraying our corridor without any warning, can still feel the effect on my throat.

Just hope the get it under control before to much longer.

DO take note the current Equinox sailing that has had an arrival delay and cancelled overnight is a Charter with Atlantis, all gay.

 

Possibly they may be concerned about the overnight due to potential threats against the gay group's arrival moreso than the political unrest issues.

 

Atlantis may have decided to avoid any potential issues with an overnight to avoid any bad press or liability that may arise from issues out of their control.

Really and people in Istanbul know all this?

We have received the email too. Fortunately we arrive tomorrow night but this may cause some people problems if there flights were due in late Monday. Now do I tell MIL - will this news freak her out even more!! Shame we won't cruise down through the Dardanelles in daylight and wander whether they will cancel Kusadasi as well.

And we are one of those with a late flight into Isanbul to go on this cruise.

If we do not make the ship in time we will no doubt be sent to Kusadasi, we await developments with interest.

There is a 3km exclusion zone as the use of water sprays have released toxic chemicals especially sodium cyanide.

a really nasty situation for all concerned.

Bundling is a tradition of wrapping a person in a bed accompianed by another as part of courting behaviour.

Your pants are our trousers or dogs breathing thro their tongues.

We used the train which was excellent.

Bus had left so walked to station, sorry cannot remember the fare and we also have a discount card but the conductor took the fare on the train.

Really can't answer your questions about taxis from the pier, etc. since we've only been to the Titanic quarter on a land tour.

Loved it and the people running it.

It s not a bad thing to have to go back to your cabin to use the toilet there as it could be more hygenic than using public ones when you see people not washing their hands.

Difficult I know with a little one who needs to go asap.

We are considering a future cruise on RC. Will someone please explain why a Junior Suite with balcony is cheaper then a Superior Balcony? We have travelled many cruises and always "Junior or Mini's" have been more expensive then a balcony. Thanks for you input.

A firedog would not bite you here in the UK well not in places that have an open fire.

They are flat bricks that make the fire size a bit smaller and do not need as much fuel.

Why can't RCL dock in tortola as some people have said?

They must be still working on building the dock itself.
