  1. Sign onto your account online, then go to your booking. There is a button near the bottom left that tells the penalty for cancelling.

Thank you, the last time we booked with a travel agent, a little unfamiliar with the site.

If it is an early saver rate you can change your booking for a $50 fee, I believe. That was what it was last time I had to do that

I will go look and see.

    Thank you!

  2. Friends of ours booked the same cruise as us. She said she paid about half off so far. She said she decided she wants to go on a different ship and wants us to change too (the breeze out of Miami, so same port). Can you do that? We booked early saver, wouldn't we have to cancel our booking and re-book? We would lose our deposit right? I'm not changing anything if I am going to lose money.

  3. Flying out of FLL. We decided to have a rental car, plus our flight is at 6:15am, so we need to get to airport at 4:30, I feel better knowing that we will get to the airport on our terms and not have to worry about a taxi being late or even having to call one at all. Works for us.

  4. So, I didn't book anything to fancy, just the Sleep inn & Suites in Dania. We are also going to shuttle back to MIA, rent a car and then drop it off early next morning. This way we are not stuck where we are and having to grab a taxi. So our week vacation has turned into a 10 day vacation...haha.

  5. Well, I got my airfare and we are returning the day after we get off the ship. So, I will be looking for a hotel in FLL.

Our flight leaves at 6:15am, so I will need a taxi to get to the airport. Best taxi service in the area? I would assume we will need to get to the airport around 4:30am.

Wondering if a one day car rental would be cheaper?

  6. If you tell us when you are traveling and your approximate budget it will help us make recommendations. The port, airport and 17th street hotels (lots of restaurants, easy access to the sun trolley) are very close to each other so don't tie yourself down to a shuttle; a taxi ride isn't very much.

Start your research with http://www.sunny.org for lodgings, attractions, transportation, etc.

Also check out the sun trolley (http://www.suntrolley.com) for cheap transportation ($1/ride; $3/day pass) to the beach and Las Olas Blvd (http://www.lasolasboulevard.com/) since you'll have an entire day in Fort Lauderdale.

The most highly recommended 'attraction' (and worth all the kudos) is the water taxi (http://www.watertaxi.com) - it's hop on/hop off and you get a tour of the intra-coastal and the new river.

Thank you! We are getting off the ship on April 23, 2016. Staying only one night and hopefully flying out at 6:15 the next morning. I am just concerned about getting to airport early and going to a hotel where there is nothing to do.

  7. Airfare on the day we fly out is very high, and it might be cheaper to just get a hotel for the day we get off our cruise (even with getting a hotel!) and fly out the next day. I am unfamiliar with FLL. Any suggestions on a hotel that has a free shuttle to airport but also in an area where we can walk around have dinner that night and check out the area?

I have found flights that leave the next morning at 6:15am, so would need an early shuttle too.

  8. I also use cruise fish (one word) - while it costs $1 per cruise price alert you have to do purchase five dollars worth. That five dollars has paid off brilliantly for us. We have been alerted four times to price drops in our cabin category for our sailing a total of $400 discount. Once we know the Price for our cabin category, we call our travel agent and share the information with the travel agent does all the work for us.

Thank you, I signed up today.

  9. Hi all! I emailed Carnival to ask about dietary restrictions. They told me to email the maitre d before I sail. I am unsure of when I should do this? I can't remember from the last sailing I had. I am sailing 4/16/16.

They were amazing last time, I was very pleased with the offerings they had for someone with celiac. Very impressed with Carnival and their kitchen. They even made warm melting cake gluten free and was amazing!
