That may prove difficult if, like me, you only get a statement every three months as it will still leave a loophole

I find that very strange. My shares are held in a nominee account with HL. I can download a current statement in .pdf format which I can either print out on paper or keep as a file on my phone suitably redacted.

That's strange. We are 77 and 79 and still pay for a licence. 🤫

You have to be over 75 and in receipt of pension credit

You should receive a revised P&O invoice showing your revised credit. This should happen whether you booked direct or with a TA.

Thanks for that - I was thinking of doing that on my next trip.  I think I’ve exhausted the town now as I’ve been so often!   Have you (or anyone else) taken the tram to La Laguna?   I was reading about it somewhere else but can’t remember where they said to catch the tram.

    Details of tram here

    https://metrotenerife.com/routes-and-timetables/

You catch the tram at Fundacion, one going to La Trinidad

You buy your ticket at the machine at any tram stop. Validate it when you get on the tram

If ii do not have a relationship with stockperks, I wonder how stockperks are going validate our continued ownership without requiring us to provide regular updated statements?

If you don’t have an updated statement, how do you prove that you currently OWN the shares.

I am wanting to book a Christmas cruise whilst I’m on my next one as I think I will get on board credit if I do.
can I pay the deposit in cash or add it to the balance for the cruise (you know where they charge you for drinks etc) or will they want it on a card?

I just don’t wanna take £600 cash deposit if I can’t use it. I’m already carrying enough round to pay for everything plus the dollars for Caribbean

You need to pay by credit or debit card when you book. You can’t charge it to your on board account

    CUK ones

    Sorry but this is incorrect

With its global corporate headquarters in Miami and several regional headquarters around the world, Carnival Corporation’s stock is dually listed on both the New York Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchange under the symbol CCL, and is the only group in the world to be included in both the S&P 500 and the FTSE 250 indices

    https://www.carnivalcorp.com/corporate-information

The symbol CCL is used for both shares in New York known as Carnival Corp and in London as Carnival PLC.

You need to buy the Carnival PLC shares

I suspect that Avomine is available as it was on Ventura, but we still have Stugeron left and that’s the only medication that has a 100% success rate for me. Will try to get Cinarizina in Funchal if that’s the same.

I believe you are in Funchal on Sunday. Most shops are closed on Sundays but you may be lucky and find an odd pharmacy open.

Just bumping this. For us who book via a TA do we get any sort of confirmation of OBC from P&O ?

My TA have confirmed we have £750 but they aren't P&O and with such a large amount it would be nice to get something from the horses mouth before arriving in Barbados.

You should get a P&O invoice via your TA which details  everything including the amount of OBC.

Having recommended buying shares to a friend to get the extra OBC, similar to a few comments on here they applied last week in the same manner I always have and have had no auto reply or further response. Seems odd as always worked for me, and of there seems to be no tel no. to follow up.
Has anyone that had a problem had a resolution yet?

The auto reply should come within a couple of minutes and it confirms they have received your request. Make sure you have the correct email address. Details below from website

Sorry if this information is already available and I've missed it, but if you hold shares do you pay a monthly admin fee to the broker? And if so, how?

It's something we're interested in doing but clueless, I'm afraid.

If you open a fund and share account with HL, there is a dealing charge of £11.95 and stamp duty (0.5% of purchase price)to pay.

There are no charges beyond this.

    https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/share-dealing

Other on line dealers are available.

We have now successfully applied for the OBC credit to our cruise in 4 weeks time, following the process mentioned in this thread. I have had confirmation from P&O but not had an email from the agent.  I guess the as long as P&O applies the OBC, I shouldn't need my agent to confirm it?

    Ray.

P&O will send a revised invoice to your agent who should forward it to you. Contact your agent.
