  1. We have just booked on the harmony September 2016 & we had to decide dynamic dining or dynamic dining classic??
  2. Thanks for the comments, our flight is approx 6pm so getting to the airport with the cruise excursion around 2pm would be ideal but I will also look into Barcelona Day tours to see what they can offer
  3. We have an early evening flight back home and thought that the Barcelona City excursion which drops you off at the airport would be the perfect way of finishing off the cruise. Anyone been on this excursion with details of pick up from cruise ship and drop off time at airport. I would presume that luggage is taken with you on the tour? Thanks.....Ted
  4. We were on same cruise & I agree with everything Hamrag has stated. Hopefully it will work out for you but you will need plenty of luck on your side to catch your flight. Ted
  5. Hi I would hope if NCL required your booked cabin for a disabled person, they would upgrade you. :D Ted
  6. I have Ephesus Deluxe booked for full day at Ephesus. :) Reviews are excellent and we are looking forward to this excursion but it appears from the posts I have read that lunch is served in an open area adjacent to a carpet factory & they expect everyone to watch a demo of making carpets. If we insist that we do not want this activity, does anyone know whether they take you to an alternative lunch venue? Thanks in advance.........Ted
  7. Hi Tartegnin Pleased you had a great time on your cruise. We're doing B2B on the same itinary from October 2nd & really looking forward to it. A couple of questions if you don't mind Did you use speciality restaurants and if so which was your favourite? You say that you used the spa, did you think it was value for money? Thanks in advance............Ted
  8. Thanks Earl Info exactly what i wanted to know. Looks like shopping in supermarket next to hotel & carrying on with hand luggage. I would think that taxi will take us directly to ship & porters will take main luggage from there so wont be too difficult Thanks again all.........Ted
  9. Hi Thanks for replies. I know there is a supermarket very close to our hotel in Mestre which I planned to use to purchase my wine & soda. We will be using taxi to get to port as you both thought. I just wondered what was available at port which would have madit it easier to handle the drink after I dropped off main luggage. I remember there were shops at Barcelona port. Ted
  10. Could anyone confirm whether there are any decent shops before embarkation to buy wine & soda etc which we intend to take onboard (paying the $15 corkage fees). This would make handling luggage a lot easier from our Mestre hotel in Venice. Thanks in advance.........Ted
  11. Hi Sheryl Nice to see you are still on the boards. Your cruise looks really nice. I've started to post on our B2B cruise with NCL from Venice on Oct 2nd. Hope you are both keeping well & you're enjoying the new job Ted
  12. Hi Karen My wife & I were at Sans Souci 17th February 2009. It is a fantastic resort & we would consider spending a vacation there in the future. We were originally quoted $100 ea from their contact in Uk & this can be booked in advance but like you I had noticed varying prices on these boards so we took a chance & got a juta taxi to the resort on the day. We arrived about 9.30 & paid $50 each which was AI. We relaxed on the private beach watched a couple of weddings ate jerk chicken & drank red stripe beer, went out to sea on a glass bottomed boat & reluctantly returned to the ship at 3.30. We just wished that the ship had sailed later than 4.00 so we could have spent longer at the resort. The taxi cost $40 for the round trip as it is about 15mins from the port. I could probably have bartered a little on the price but thought it was ok Enjoy...........Ted
  13. Hi We have just returned from 5 night cruise 14th-18th Feb. The food in the MDR was good, tasty, plenty choice & always cooked to perfection. Waiters were quick most nights although last night were a little slow. The only complaint my wife had was the food was occassionly luke warm which is a general complaint on most cruise lines. We ate one night in The Spa Bistro which has $2 charge & it was excellent & I can recommend it...........Ted
  14. Hi Brenderlou We were on 5 day to Jamaica / Grand Cayman & everything was fantastic. We went to Couples resort in Jamaica & cannot recommend it more highly. Other people went shopping in Ocos Rios & were pestered by the local people. Grand Cayman is definately worth tendering off the ship, fantastic beaches & good shopping without any hassle from locals. Make sure you're up early on sea days if you like to sunbathe as most of the beds are taken by 9am. They are not supposed to be left unattended for 'an unreasonble time' but this rule is not policed by the Celebrity staff. Enjoy yourselves...............Ted
  15. Hi John I've just returned from the Century & can confirm there is a charge, I think it was $4 + tax + gratuities..............Ted
