First, let me say it is the right thing to do- each of us doing our part by staying inside , practicing social distacncing. And I appreciate th medical community putting their lives on the line. We have a 5/4 Panama Canal cruise booked- all excursions planned, all suppies purchased, clothes ready to pack. Our cruise has not yet been canceled. If RC goes ahead with this cruise, (and they may because this is a repositioning cruise, no further Panama Canal cruises scheduled) ports will not be open. If they cancal, we get 125% FCC, if we cancel we get 100%. I am trying to decide whether to cancel now and go to another line or wait for the 125% credit.

Thank you very your recommendation of take the money and run I am sure some will and some won’t but I am comfortable with my decision not to.
I AM FOLLOWING THIS THREAD CLOSELY. WE HAVE A 5/4 PANAMA CANAL CRUISE BOOKED. IT HAS NOT YET BEEN CANCELED. SOMEONE POSTED THAT THEY HAD AN APRIL CRUISE BOOKED THAT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY RC AS STILL A GO. I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM THE PRIVATE TOUR WE HAD BOOKED IN CARTGENA HAS BEEN CANCELED. I THINK EVEN IF RC GOES AHEAD WITH THIS CRUISE, THE PORTS WILL BE CLOSED. THEY ARE REPOSITIONING THE SERENADE FOR ALASKA CRUISES. NO OTHER CANAL CRUISES ARE SCHEDULED. PANAMA CANAL IS ON MY BUCKET LIST. WOULD YOU CANCEL NOW AND GET 100% CASH BACK INSTEAD OF RC CREDIT? I APPRECIATE THE ADVISE- NOT WELL EDUCATED IN THIS AREA.

So am I hearing the recommendation to wait for RC to cancel the cruise to receive better compensation? I have a cruise set for May 4 and I am in the high risk category. I would like to rebook right now but there are no Panama Canal cruises except our May 4, 2020 cruise on the RC website. I rely on this website for great advise!

I am looking to get cruise insurance for our August cruise. Don't a Google search does not help. It just gives a bunch to look at. Can anyone share a reputable company to go through?
Does any insurance cover national catastrophy, "act of nature" (like hurricane or the new virus 19? I've read NO in several policies!

I'm not either. The first person we encountered (outside the mall, across from the port) quoted us a price of $20 USD. I thought that was high. DH and I said we were headed into the mall for something and would think about it while inside.
We decided to go ahead and do the HOHO and when we came back outside, we could not find the gentleman that had quoted us. But found another person and he said he would sell us the tickets for $15/each. So technically, we didnt haggle, but it seems that the price is definitely negotiable. Or maybe it was because it was so new ???
Thanks _ at least gave me an idea! Do you take pesos?

We are on the 5/4/2020 Serenade OS Panama Canal cruise. Just read about the unrest in Colon. We have 3 months and things could change. Has anyone cancelled a RC excursion while on board?

We will be making our first visit to PV, want to see all the sights, experience the Mexican culture, food, drinks. Would you recommend the Hop On, Hop Off bus, instead of the city bus system?

I am looking for craft microbreweries in Cabo for my husband who is a craft beer geek and will be very thirsty after almost 2 weeks on the ship without craft brews. Any recommnedations? or bars that carry a ranging craft beer list. We also want to see the cultural sights and beauty of the area but are NOT shoppers. Recommendations needed.

We used this in November and quite enjoyed it.
The upper deck was the best place to ride.
Also, don't accept the first price. You can negotiate a better rate. We did.
Thank you! I am not a good haggler- do you remember whet you paid? We want to see the entire route, then on the way back hop off near Los Muertos brewery. Anyone been there or used the bus to get off at various locations?

Thank you! Has anyone used this HOHO bus? Do you recommend its use to travel to areas like Romanica or is that dis tance walkable from pier?

It was the best family vacation we ever had! The Anthem had something for everyone in our group. We brought my daughter, her husband and 13 year old son; my daughter and husband, and their 2 children ages 12 and 14,. the kids (all ages) spent time in the SeaPlex, the Rock Wall, pizza stand, and Flowrider. The sheer number of choices of food (especially desserts) in the Windjammer was also a hit! We could go our separate ways and meet up for dinner. The itinerary was perfect for us, and the kids really enjoyed the shows.

I've seen the Quest several times, participated and laughed. However the last time children were allowed into the lounge and some participated. That was my last Quest. As a retired teacher I was very uncomfortable . It is an adult activity and the rule of Adults Only should be enforced. If the CD does not want to enforce he rule, the game has to be "tamer". you can't trust all parents to enforce it.

I will be in San Diego May 18, 2020 after a RC cruise. Looking for hotel recommendations near Little Italy and local microbreweries. Also, wondering about transportation from cruiseport to hotels and then from the hotel to airport the next day. We've spent a few days in San Diego a few years ago so we did the HOHO trolley- just need some microbrews for my hubby before flying back to the east coast.

30-45 minutes. There are areas of the theater with obstructed views. Balcony has several, and some areas of balcony are "reserved" for suites. For Spectra- also areas of obstructed view so arrive early. I like right side of room (toward bar), great shows- enjoy!!

If you like craft beer, please visit Taverna Lupula on San Sebastian. the owners bought it about one year before the hurricane. We will be going back to check on them on our March Harmony cruise. An get the best craft beer selection in Old San Juan!

I use my sea glass to cover plain glass containers - and use them for candle holders. You can find cheap plain candle holders and glass cement at michael's. Have fun. I plan to try to find some sea glass on our cruise in march!!
