  1. Sooner you were on the week before us. I appreciate you leaving the ship in good shape!!

We had one day where we had some serious motion. It was the last sea day on our way back from Coz. We were in the lobby waiting for a trivia to start and the wife said she didn't feel well and was heading back to the room. I looked out the window after she left and I could see the horizon would dip below the deck line and then rise about a full railing above the rail itself then fall back below the deckline again. It was like that for about 20-30 minutes. Crystal Clear skies, but some serious waves. Seemed like we were broadside to them and had no choice but to sail through.

But you're going again!!!! Me too!!!:D

  2. Hello all.

We just booked the Conquest sailing 02/22/09. I was wondering how much movement you feel on this ship? I have sailed on both the Carnival Paradise and the Carnival Pride. I know that those are ships are smaller and older plus the Pacific Ocean is a rougher than the Gulf of Mexico... Any comparison would be appreciated.

    Thank you.:)

Hey, I'll be getting back from her inaugural cruise to the Bahamas right before you! We've sailed on the Conquest earlier this year, in February and it was smooth sailing all the way. The most motion we ever got was a slight, side to side roll....great ship, you'll love her:)

  3. I hope this is not a duplication, but the DH and I are thinking about taking the Conquest in February of 09 to the Eastern Carribean. We just did the Western Carribean this past February and it was great! We were thrilled that Carnival is now scheduling a different itinerary for the Conquest out of Galveston. Kudos to Carnival:D Anyone else excited about this news?

  4. Does anyone remember the Debarkation order? Trying to decide whether we should carry our luggage off...we are driving and on a lower level deck.

    Thanks:confused:

First they call the folks with flights then they call the people who are doing the self-assist (that's what we did) and we were in our car in the parking lot at 7:50 am and on the way home. I highly recommend the self-assist option.:)

  5. You can buy the tracfone at Walmart and then buy the minutes you need.Go to www.tracfone.com and it will give you an over view and you can check it out. Dot

I've researched this all day and just got off the phone with the tracfone people and they said they do not service the Caribbean area and if you try to use their phone it will automatically deactivate. Ok, so what cell phone company services that area on the Conquest cruise? We leave next weekend so this is VERY IMPORTANT.

    Thanks:)

  6. I own a tracfone and an iphone. When I was in Alaska, my tracfone worked and my brothers fancy cell phone with all the bells and whistles did NOT work . Also, I was on the Grand Princess a few years ago out of Galveston when it listed..and my neighbor needed to call home, and her cell phone would NOT work on the ship,so she used my tracfone! Im taking my iphone on our cruise next week, but Im also bringing along my tracfone. Ive been very pleased with this little tracphone! Dot

Thanks Dot, is a "tracphone" the cell phone I'm talking about? I'm not cell phone savy.....:o
