I wonder if they offer any discount for emerald. They give 30 percent off if you book it before you leave but it doesnt give prices without streaming.

I would like to at least be able to text with my son.

Does anyone know the best way to connect with others on the ship? At one point on the Anthem there was an app but we did not have much luck with it.

They showed Sunday night football in the Aquatheatre at 8:30 (day 2 of cruise)

 

Monday night there was 2 Aqua shows (day 3 of cruise)

 

This could change come the beginning of November when Oasis switches from Saturday departures to Sunday departures out of PC.

We leave on Sunday and our team has Monday night that week. So, there is some hope! One Thanksgiving we were on the Oasis and loved sitting outside watching football:) Thanks so much!

I just looked at the half price internet thing and it looks as if it is only for one device and is $8.99/day.

I didnt see any discount for more devices.

I too would like to keep in touch with my son but not sure of the best way to do that.

I asked this somewhere else too but am covering all bases. I am trying to find out if they play Monday Night Football on the Oasis on the screens at the Aquatheatre. If anyone knows or is going soon please let me know.

We too were extremely disappointed in the service in the free dining venues. After a couple of tries we opted for the buffet for dinner. Something we had never done on any other ship. The dinner buffet was pretty good and the cooks were very helpful with heating up meat for us.

On another note the Anthem plays great music throughout the ship.

We have had dinner in the Windjammer quite a few nights since the service in the free restaurants has been so horrible.

This is the first time we have ever done that.

In general the food and variety have been pretty good but I think they need to buy new dishwashers!

We too are on this ship. We have been on 20 cruises. The decor on this ship is so elegant compared to others. I am not really a person who is into art but the wall art on the ship is amazing. The balcony cabins are nice, the bathroom especially. The sofa bed is very hard, on Oasis class ships they put a foam cover over them. They need to get them on this ship!

We are not fans of the new dining system. At least we signed up for classic so we know we have a table at the same time every night. I agree with others that in the dining rooms the drink service is not great. It just seems as if the whole dining process is a bit disorganized.

I love some of the new touches on this ship like the hallway lights brighten up as you walk down them. You must use your sea pass to turn on cabin lights. Makes total sense! But I am not a fan of the auto flush in public restrooms. It was a great idea to put the hand washing station going into the buffet. It does make for a bit of a line but if it helps keep all healthy I am all for it.

We bought the text/call package for 3 devices. The idea is great but I spent the first 2 days trying to get it to work. After several visits to the "communication specialist" I decided to have them cancel it. I hope they can get all of the glitches out and put it on other ships because the idea is great.

I did buy the $4.99 wow band for our son. It saves him from carrying his sea pass around.

The bumper cars are great. It just seems like some of the activities are tough to get into because of limited time.

Seaplex has been great for the kids. When there are no activities in there a lot of kids are there playing soccer and basketball. A great venue to have for a mostly cold weather cruise!

Those with info keep posting, we also board tomorrow. and our cabin is on Deck 7!!!!

I was reading somewhere about being able to play xbox with people at home and on other ships. Does anyone know if this just means that they have xbox live?

Any tips on booking classic dining online?

I am trying to book classic dining , has anyone done this online. It just comes up as what each restaurant has available.

Was there a burger on the kids menu? Is the kids menu available in al restaurants?

Do all of the restaurants have kids menus?

If you do classic you have to do all of the complimentary restaurants?

Do the complimentary restaurants have the usual grilled chicken, etc that you can get every night like they do in a traditional dining room?

How far in advance should we book our dinners?
