Usually you will get an email after it’s approved. I sent an email on 3/16, and received the generic “we got it” email, but nothing else yet. My cruise leaves in a month, so  if I don’t hear something soon, I may need to call.

Was there maybe an OBC promo when you booked cruise?

Never have I ever received an email confirmation.  Usually I notice it is applied in about 1 week when logging into the cruise.  Sometimes it is never applied so I give it a few weeks & if it does not show up I re-submit the request online.

  2. As has already been said with kids definitely Royal but without Celebrity.  If we could just combine what we liked from both lines we would have the perfect experience.  We find sometimes Celebrity not to be as exciting & everyone goes to bed early.  But the food is definitely better on Celebrity.  It would depend on what kind of vacation you and your group would enjoy.  And sometimes we book based on itinerary.

Celebrity = Rest and Relaxation, Royal = Action and Activities

Definitely better shows on Royal but in our opinion both the food and ambiance in all restaurants from the buffet to the speciality restaurants are better on Celebrity.

Like many others we started on Royal when our son was young and then swapped to Celebrity…No particular desire to return to Royal….Not a criticism, they are still offering a quality product they do well, we just no longer want what they offer.

Usually better shows on Royal unless you are on the EDGE or APEX and we found the shows spectacular.

  4. We plan on booking 4 cabins while onboard our next cruise & one of the cabins will have Grandma & Grandson and only the 4 year old is diamond.  Can I book 2 cabins & receive the diamond balcony discount on both cabins if only the grandson is Diamond & not Grandma?

Also, how is the best way to manage receiving the additional shipboard credit received for the booking while onboard for the cabin?

Should we just add an adult with diamond status to each cabin to get the credits & then re-arrange the cabins once we board as there will be 4 adults with Diamond status?

When I was on in October they had 2 working on day 1 when we boarded. The next day there was 1 and I got to use it. The next day that was broke. They tried a lot too fix it, like reloaded software, but nothing worked.

It was a B2B but the port staff was unable to fix any of the bikes so for my second week there were also no bikes.

In the back room I saw 4 or 5 broken Pelotons that they were unable to fix. IMO the product does not seem to hold up to commercial use.

If you book an Iconic suite you would probably have one in your room. For the price of that cabin you could buy 10 bikes

Maybe someone recently off can give a Peloton status report?

That is unfortunate.  I hope they have them fixed in a few months when we will be on the EDGE as the Peloton bikes are so much better than taking any of the cycling classes offered on board.

Dumb question.  What's so special about Peloton bikes, compared to your ordinary fitness center bike?  Do Pelotons provide more resistance, better exercise?  I sure get they are popular, just never been sure why.

Next time you are on a Celebrity cruise & have access to a bike give it a try as you can ride without a membership.  You will be asked to set up a login but then you can ride for free.

I've had my fair share of Fin Du Monde in my younger years. I would classify it more as a 5 course meal than a beer.  😄 😄😄 😄

Also they had some reserve beers that were quite good.  The Belgium blue label Chimay Grande Reserve was very good.  The price on ship was $27/bottle then got home & found the same bottle at Costco for $12 this week so of course we had to stock up to remind of us our amazing trip on the Apex.

Do they serve snacks yet at Craft Social on Apex?

Last time I was on the ship, they told me no snacks but on the app, there was a snack menu like kobe sliders, glazed wings, truffle fries, etc

    No snacks offered.
