  1. Morning!   I'm wondering about the Adults only Spice H2O.   Do you have to be registered to enjoy this area?  Is it reserved for specific suites?   I thought I read somewhere there was a limited access.   Would that be per day or voyage?    If so, are we able to do something online before boarding?   I'd prefer to  skip the line ups.

Thanks everyone!   There is a wealth of information here

  2. I'm sure that it's been asked but I can't find it in my search...

How far out are the upgrades offered?   I understand not every sailing has them, but I just wondered if I should be watching or has the time gone by.  My sailing is January 5th.  85 days!

    Thanks for your imput  :)

  3. Hey Everyone, just getting ready to book on the Epic for January and I'm torn.   I was about to book a BX balcony but after looking at a few reviews I am feeling like they stick you with the balcony with an enclosed area with only a small hole to see through.  I don't mind at all a lifeboat below.   So, I looked at the mni suite, which doesn't seem to be any larger, other than the shower.  I'm finding mixed reviews about them.    My question is:   what are the chances of getting a good balcony with the sail away or do I have a better chance at a good balcony with a sail away mini suite?   Any opinons?     I know that some will say if the balcony is important then pick it yourself....   however, working with Canadian money, I am trying to stretch where I can.   Thanks for your imput!

  4. We sailed through Christmas week several years ago and it was lovely. I felt Christmas was underdone... although the children had a 'do' on the Eve and some carols sung. Christmas day was in port, much the same as other port days. I think the guests make their own christmas with each other. It was wonderful for us because we're empty nesters and it's not great at home with no family around. We are sailing again this year over Christmas with another couple and just can't wait! Do it again? Sure will :) You'll love it

  5. Best part of cruising for me! A tap tap at the door is my alarm clock. Fresh hot coffee first thing!! Room service!!

I get dressed and sip coffee and waltz out the door whilst everyone still sleeps.

    I sure miss that...........

    Ahhhhhh, me too! :(

  6. Can anyone tell me the difference in several balcony rooms I've noticed on Empress deck- 7434 or 7439? There are similar on other decks in the same area as well. does their shape give a more open room? Looks like the balcony is a little longer.. Thanks for your help!

  7. Yep, I, too, have been reading from the start and feel the need to say that I enjoyed reading every evening a llittle bit more. How rewarding it must be to have had such an audience, eh? Good Luck and all the best to you Mike and your family. You certainly have every reason to be proud. May you enjoy every vacation as you have this one!

  8. does anyone know if Victory has a photo machine to burn an XD type ( the small one ) camera memory chips to CD? i usually bring my laptop to do that, but i want to leave it home this time. i'm trying to " pack down " this trip.

Hi there, I just came off the victory and asked the same question... no they don't have that ability. I think they're not so eager to work with your pictures when they're trying to upsell their own photos.

    Have fun!

  9. On Deck 8 (cabin 8439) we had to use tape to get our sign to stick to the door. I brought magnetic strips to use on the back, and they wouldn't work.

HEY! We are staying in that room for Christmas! This is our first aft cabin and I am having doubts at my choice.. you know - the back of the ship. Were you happy with this cabin? I still have time to change.

33 sleeps to cruising - Deb

  10. My TA just confirmed that anytime dining is now available for our sailing on 12/6/09! So anyone with a december booking that is interested should definitely check and see if they can switch over.

Hi! Is this the same idea as the Norweigan 'freestyle' dining? Is it better than having reserved seating, do you think?

  11. Hi there- great thread / great review! I have a couple of questions and hope that some of you might reply. We are cruising over Christmas and I'm wondering if the Victory will have a Captains' Dinner or if the Formal night with be held on Christmas Night or Eve and if they really dress the ship up for the occasion? Also, I have heard so many good reviews of the aft cabins and am told that you can view so much more. Has anyone stayed in cabin # 8439? 90 sleeps left :D ~Debbie
